Is there space available for Friday and Saturday night? If things go well early next week, Dede and I will head down early Friday morning.

Since all H’s seem to have this issue there is a good chance it relates to the manufacturing process and that as the parts age they develop cracks. My guess is unless and until the process is changed to eliminate the cause even new parts are going to eventually end up cracking in a similar manner.

I have not ever seen an H with some age on it that did not have the cracks and they are all located in similar places relative to the trim.

The problem we all have is if our coach has a flaw such as a small crack, or a dent or a paint chip our eyes seem drawn to the defect. That makes the problem to us to seem worse. I don’t know the answer and I would guess Prevost does not know the answer either although it might be worth someone having a discussion with Prevost. It will not be an inexpensive fix if the solution is to replace bay door panels or front caps. The cost of repainting alone could be very expensive.

BTW, I have an X-12 torque multiplier if it will help along with the big socket to use for the drive axle nut. I am having dinner with a PC member from NC Monday night, and if it helps he can carry them back with him if that gets them close enough so you can do the job yourself.

Then all you need is a floor jack to help handle the brake drum. I usually grunt and groan and handle the hub myself.

You can return them at Oysterfest, or I can give them to you at Oysterfest.

Send me an email if interested.

So if the stainless surface would have been “wiped clean” when the incident first happened, then the rusting would never have occured?

UK Guy You’ve got it figured out!

Most times coaches are brought to Prevost by a driver who drops it off and tells “service ” a description of issues. The bus is repaired and “billing” sends the invoice to “accounts receivable” at coach company, and clerk writes a check. No review of billing as long issue is gone.

    Mark,

    I
can appreciate your frustration, if I had a 2015 I would expect
nothing but the red carpet treatment. Being charged for a brake light
question is absurd, even though it was reversed, never should have
    happened.

    I
have only dealt with Jacksonville and Nashville over the years, so
have no experience at Houston. John at Jacksonville has been
exceptional and is the go to guy in my opinion. I’ve never had an
invoicing issue at Jax, but have received excessive labor hours at
Nashville almost on every visit. I always call to go over invoice and
explain I was there, never left site of the bus or work being done. I
keep a record of the time and in all cases, they adjusted the labor
time. Should I have to go through that exercise each time I have work
    done, no.

    Bottom
line for me, Prevost service is second to none, but the invoicing
discrepancies sure need some improvement. Being able to view the
invoice at the completion of service and then handle any issues would
    seem to make more sense.

    If
you’ve ever experienced the repair or service process with a
fiberglass coach, you will hug your Prevost service guy.:)

    Dish Local Channel Disaster

To make a long story short, we ended up watching the Super
Bowl in Spanish because Dish couldn’t get their act together and give us local
channels in the greater New Orleans area.
Dish people on the phone and live chat were of no help, including their
    so-called advance tech support. They
kept insisting we had a problem with our equipment when it was a programming
error on their end. Since they said it
was our problem we insisted they send a tech out to us. Tech came out, I explained and demonstrated
the programming screw-up. He called the
super secret tech line, told them he installed equipment that he did not
install, (because the new equipment wasn’t necessary), they changed the
programming and in a few minutes we had local New Orleans channels. Two days after the Super Bowl. What a PIA!

In short, none of the Dish people on the other end of the
phone or computer know how their system works, not even in the grossest
    sense.

IMHO, both satellite TV companies stink even worse
than all the cellular telephone companies.

Reese: What do you think drives the steep steps? Is the coach an H or XL? Do you think the converter or a previous owner modified the steps from what Prevost put in?
