My sister and her husband bought a new Allegro Bus. It is junk as far as I am concerned. They are currently at Tiffin getting it fixed. It has been at a dealer for the same thing twice and still not fixed. It had a bunch of stuff wrong with it since new.

I also have a good friend who is on his second Allegro Bus, and he has had mucho issues with both.

Compared to a Prevost conversion, it is a joke.

Larry, you asked this question on October 28, 2016, and I answered it same day. You can do a search on factory tour and see the info you want.

Here is a 2017 DD brochure about: Oil, fuel, & filters, etc

    http://ddcsn.com/cps/rde/xbcr/ddcsn/DDC-SVC-BRO-0001.pdf

I pieced together the bypass systems for my diesel MHs for less than $100. If anybody wants part #s, etc, let me know.

*Note* I always add a petcock to the remote filter heads to make it easy to get a sample for analysis.

Here are pics of the bypass system on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser w/165K mile gasoline 4 Ltr. The third pic is of a remote mounted filter for its auto tranny. As stock, Toyota only provides a screen for trans fluid filtration, so I pieced together & installed a remote setup.

Guess we’ll just have to ramp up the front axle component specs like we did the tires.

The only time the jake or retarder will drive folks crazy is if you have the brake light come on when you or your cruise control lets off the gas. I don’t remember the relay number, but if you have left that relay in place you end up with a lot of pissed off drivers after you pass someone. When you do that you let off the gas and the Jake or retarder engages and the brake lights light.

Then the guy you just passed thinks you just put on your brakes when all you are doing is slowing down from your passing speed.

So this morning I looked underneath my coach. I may have this wrong, but the attached picture is the only drip line for my evaporators. It definitely was the one for the galley AC evaporator.

It’s upside-down, so if one of the Admin could turn it right-side up, that would be great.

Because I low-leveled my coach, this line was pushed into the ground not allowing water to escape. When I wiggled the line free, about a quart of water came out of the line.

I’m thinking this is the main line out for all four of my evaporators and that they come thru the galley AC evaporator, hose/pan, which is why the water was backing up into that unit.

Does this sound right to Marathon owners?

    Interesting Peter,

Didn’t know that vent pipe could crack, but another great tip if I experience smell from the toilet vent area.

Run the coach and check the differential temps between the supply and return air.

You don’t say the age of the coach, but on some multiplex coaches you can do a system check by initiating it at the message center and then following it around the coach and hearing all the various clicking and fan operatig noises.

    Hey Geo,

Cant say that I have ever heard of Lucinda , But That will Prompt Me to look Her up and give a Listen. I Am Primarily a Classic Rock Kinda Guy. I make several comments about the Banjo. But I can only listen to it for a Short time. But While Sitting alone And Picking My Own Banjo, I can relax and Enoy it for a few hours at a time.I also Collect Rare Vintage Instruments. I do Listen to Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel occasionally. But that Genre is kinda like Some Visiting Relatives. I can only take it in Small Doses. The line about “Don’t let anyone steel Your Joy” Is something My Former Banjo Teacher used to say. That stuck with Me.

Also, there are 2 types of thermostats, a blocking and a non blocking. A blocking is used if there is a bypass hose so some water always is moving thru the water pump. A non blocking is used if there is no bypass hose.

You can use a non blocking in either application if you are unsure.

That’s very kind of you Fred. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. I just feel bad that your wife was under the weather at the time and we didn’t get to meet her as well. I’m sure if your wife was there to engage Maxine with the female perspective of living the Prevost life, you and I would have had much more time to talk shop. Next time! ;^)
