Well, think you all are special, my Country Coach has both gravity fill and auto fill.

    Thats right, both.

    Eat your heart out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, some one give me some ideas as to why most converters with a gray and black tank make the black tank so large.

At two quarts per flush for my Microphor I could stay a month or so before dumping. I would much rather have had half that capacity in my gray tank. Thoughts, I need educating.

When I got this Marathon, I sanitized the water system before leaving Oregon. I have 3 filters, whole house, ice maker line and refrigerator. I sanitized leaving all filters in place and when done, then installed all new filters. Marathon has a gravity fill (sorry Liberty boy’s) and made adding bleach real easy. Here’s how I did it:

    1. Filled water tank and added 3 cups of bleach

    2. Let set for 1 hour

    3. Opened all faucets and ran water until smelling bleach including fridge

    4. Let stand for about a half hour

    5. Drained water tank and filled with fresh

    6. Ran water until bleach smell was gone

    7. Drained and filled tank again

    8. Changed out all filters and flushed

Good to go and we drink our fridge water.

Please don’t crawl under the coach without heavy duty jackstands or heavy wooden blocks. You can never trust the air to keep the bus up. If the coach comes down, there isn’t enough room for you. Stay safe.

We rented an 89 CC last year. The owner warned us that if we took shower after comming off the road the water would be HOT. He was right.

Our Liberty has a shower fixture lets me set the temp and it mixes hot with cold which solves that problem in the shower.

But putting the mixing valve at the water heater makes lots of sense for the faucets and clothes washer. Good idea.

I must respectfully disagree with Jon on the seals are seals statement. The seal Mira Loma used (or uses) was a Scotseal classic. The premium Stemco seal appears superior. I have replaced about 6 Scotseal drive seals. I am now using Stemcos which I supplied to Prevost on both sides of the drive. I have never replaced a Stemco but only have about 50,000 miles on the oldest of the two…not a definitive amount of mileage although that was the average mileage for Scotseal drive seals on my coaches. Stemco also manufactures an upgraded locking nut system for the drives.

Sorry, don’t know the part #’s for your application.

    Larry,

If the cable had corrosion, cleaning is only a temporary fix. Take the cable off and go to your local auto parts, truck parts, or marine parts store and have them make you a new one. Most of these places have a crimper. If they don’t, find another. I’d suggest a crimping tool, but they are about $200. I have one, but I use to make a lot of cables in tight places.

Once again you bring up a very good point. I was calculating all of my dimensions with the bus perfectly centered. Thats not likely to happen very often. Two inchs off center makes a significant difference with the support stands. So, now I get to redraw my design…..which is OK because I hate after the fact “woulda, coulda, shoulda” done it differently ! Thanks

On my 99 CC there is a breaker box in the second bay where I access the transfer switch and the TV. This breaker box controls the refrigirator and some of the outlets on each side of the coach. Check these breakers if you have this box. Also there are more GFIC plugs that some of the other outlets in the coach are hoked to so if one of them is triped you will have no power down stream from these plugs. In other words, they were protecting other plugs with one GFIC plug.

It’s all in what you pay for these heaps! If they give them to you, it’s a deal.
