Thanks for your suggestions, these are very helpful! It sounds like we should offer a variety of options, some with wider spaces, some with more power, etc. I am new to the RV community, so this is a learning process for me. I really appreciate all of your help.

Al, I’ll message you directly 🙂

Why would I ever hex a fellow ex-masshole?

I was more worried about drinking the stacker kool-aid and ended up spending another $50k on a trailer, that I packed my stuff in the dead of night and skipped out of town, only wishing red the best of luck that he got out of there without ending up with a rolling garage 🙂

Wyoming will “normally” not bother you at +5mph over the posted limit outside of town. +10 will almost always attract unwanted attention. With the exception of I-80, much of Wyoming is not patrolled during the wee hours of the night.

FYI: Commercial Motor Vehicles in Wyoming can receive hefty fines for +1-5mph over the limit.

Question: Does the fuel consumption of a Prevost change from miles per gallon to gallons per mile when traveling at 80mph into a Wyoming headwind ?

We’re still waiting on the Michelins we had ordered. I did speak with the service mgr at a entertainer co with 85 buses and he said that they still had a few Michelins in stock but they were putting four Toyo.s. on to try out so they have some experience with the tires if the shortage lasts much longer.

    Hopefully they catch up soon.

thanks everyone. this is why Prevost Community is great.

Here is the rest of the story.

Tom from S& M diesel arrived with welder, air compresor to run air tools, and good ability. After some discussion we decided to weld the bracket with extra stock for strength, making sure the extra width did not stop the travel of the air bag. As far as the air bag, no damage to its function. With a combination of JB weld to help hold the bolt in where damage had occured, everything went well. We traveled 450 miles today after the repair, and are now in Steamboat Springs, CO. Bus ran fine without any problems. Temps near normal. 2 degree increase in tranny temp compared to normal, but was running hard, and it was warm. Fan working normally.

    Again thanks to everyone

The leak may be somewhere other than the drain,,,, but on ours it is definately the drain.

And looking at the picture your drain is in the same shape as ours was before the threaded flange piece cracked and broke loose from the brass drain pipe and is now seperated from the shower base. It has dropped down about 3/4″ from the shower pan so the drain water leaks out from under the floor into the lower compartment.

Has anyone had to replace this drain, and do you have to remove all the tile floor in the shower ? I am going to try to remove the rest of the threaded piece and see if there are any threads left in the brass low profile drain piece. Maybe machine a brass flange piece if we can not buy one.

I have left a couple of messages with Bill at Liberty but so far not received a reply.

I have been concerned about this area because of the rust, since I first cleaned the drain when we bought the coach but did not understand what the rust was from. Does not make sense to me to have any steel fittings in this area. The rest of the drain is brass and then PVC. And now here we are with a broken drain.

    Peter,

I understand the tag raise system to work this way. The aux tank supplies the Tag Control valve which is normally open. This keeps air pressure on the pilots for the (3) port values which controls the air to the tag air bags and the lift cylinders. When you raise the tag you actually cut off the air to the pilot and the spring forces the norgren to the side to release pressure from the bags and the put air on the lift cylinders. This is also the famous system which release the pressure on the tag bags when the aux pressure gets to about 35 psi as the air pressure can no longer over come the spring.

So when you say “The tag valve will leak down the aux air” its not that the valve leaks thru but that the fittings to the valve leaks as they always have pressure on them. Correct?

On the other hand the parking brake valve gets it’s supply from the double check, which means its supplied from both the primary and secondary tanks. When driving that valve is open to hold the spring back and release the parking brake. When parked that valve is closed. So if either the fitting to the valve leaks, or the valve leaks thru then both the primary and secondary will leak down together over time. Correct?

Thanks guys, I will check out extreme graphics, was looking to find something a little less $ than the ones on eBay where I can sort out the actual lights myself.

See my post up the top about battery cables being wired properly. That implies the connections were good as well as going to the right place.

The last thing done prior to the problem is always the first place to look. (I think Confusious said that, or maybe it was Gil)
