Yes, absolutely if you would please. I just talked to Rex, but he said he would not see it until next week. We had some questions from him concerning storage in the kitchen and measuring the couch width. But if you would like to look at it as if you were buying I would apprecite it. I am new and never owned a bus, so very candid is what I need.lol
really do appreciate it
Please feel free to PM me, or give me a shout 609-346-8871 -
Our bus is the same vintage as yours, any chance you could share part numbers for the clearence lights you purchased from Whelen?
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing Bill, a wake up call for us.

And not all of us are able to do that.
Did the door close with the broken stop? Or did it jam?

Thanks Davy, I’m just an enquiring person. I’ve been fortunate to meet Rudy at a rally in Elkhart, and yes , he is an extremely knowledgeable and kind person. I’m glad he is a member of this forum and is very helpful with his knowledge..

Had ETLC replace mine in April with Prevost glass. New glass began to fog by June. Jeff was good enough to ship me new glass last week under warrenty from Prevost. My suggestion is to get a piece of auto safety plate cut and be done with the problem. Will try the Prevost glass again and hopefully it will stay clear for a few years. Needles to say reinstall will not be cheep! Not happy with Prevost.

I leave my Bulk/Absorption time set to “0” as you are doing. If I don’t use the batteries, I just leave it that way and check the voltage every once and while to assure float is doing the job and showing around 26.6v. When taking a trip, if I use the Cruiseairs on inverter, I then change the setting to 2.5 hours and allow a Bulk/Absorption charge when again on shore power.
Works for me, you’re sure to hear other opinions, but it’s all about cycles on the Lifelines.

When the generator is running, AC power is just passed through the invertor. Some of it is converted to DC power to charge the house batteries, but it wouldn’t be much if the generator had been running for a while, as the house battery state of charge would be in the float region. If the main generator breaker tripped, the invertors would then have to start inverting. The entire load of the AC system would be coming through the conversion process from DC to AC, and that makes the invertor work harder than simply passing gen power through to the AC loads and float charging the batteries.
I guess there’s nothing to stop the compressors from the roof airs and/or the refrigerator from starting up at the same time. Even with capacitors, there will be an increased draw on startup that could be enough to trip a breaker. If those components are on their own breakers on the panel, they wouldn’t trip their individual circuits but they could trip the main breaker where they combine.
The overcurrent error thrown while inverting could be proper operation. What is the watt rating on one invertor compared to the combined loads that were on it with the roof air/water heater/refrigerator?
Is your generator controlled by the invertors? Our bus has a stand-alone unit (watchdog) that starts the generator. It sounds like your’s might too by the fact that it started back up even with the main breaker tripped and the invertors in error. The watchdog monitors the batteries. Our new invertors have the option if you go through the settings on the remote, but we didn’t configure them to control the AGS.

X2 with what Geo said. The AC will remove a lot of humidity from the interior of the coach. It removes so much that I have to connect a hose to the drip tube of the AC underneath the coach and run it outside. Otherwise my garage floor has water all over it.

Shelby tell us the story. What was your problem? What did they do for you? Many of us were concerned about you all weekend.

Jon, my issue was the Bendix r14 valve.

We’ve had nothing but great service from Prevost parts… In fact, we did the same radiator R&R and had the parts we needed in a reasonable time. We have an account with them so possibly they take care of commercial accounts quicker
If you’re going to the trouble of swapping the radiator you might want to check the fan clutch while it’s accessible..We replaced ours and the new one looks like an upgrade.

Personal choice. Here are some things to consider, these are facts, and not opinion.
Regardless of the number of slides, each one provides floor space, but at the expense of space that could be used for other reasons, such as storage, a closet, etc. Each slide regardless of who provides the slide requires room on the side for the mechanism. In some cases space in the bay(s) is lost for the structure to restore the strength lost by cutting the slide opening. That room dedicated to the slide mechanism takes away from other space.
You do get walking space, but you might trade that by losing anywhere from 18″ to as much as 30″ per side where the slides are. That could be a closet, pantry, space for a washer and dryer, or maybe some kitchen space.
If you have more than 2 slides you have no option other than an H3. The X series is limited to 2 slides on one side.
If you have more than 2 slides you cannot have the full coach heat and air system because you virtually eliminate the ability to duct the flow of air.
Slides add weight. If you carry a lot of stuff in the bays make sure you still have weight carrying capacity. As a rule we all carry a lot more stuff than we should and it does not take much to exceed the Prevost axle weights.
The bays beneath the slides are difficult to access and use. Slide owners bang their heads a lot. It is a pain to use the bays because you have to crouch down, under the slide and if you are old like Tom you can barely straighten back up after you are done doing whatever in the bay.
Slides add maintenance cost. If one slide seal costs $2500 plus labor to install, multiply that by the number of slides and you know what the minimum cost of ongoing maintenance will be. We really don’t know how long seals last.
Opinion……….slides change the entire character of the coach, and make it seem more like a home than a Pullman Car. We like our two slides, but not enough to want to go to more than 2 given the loss of storage space which is already much less than our previous non-slide coach.

Abousolutly beautiful. Enjoy it
