Bernie, what the hell is wrong with a Liberty, oh I forgot the leaking aluminum holdings tanks and the cruise air filter needing the refrigerator removed to clean it.
Hang on this is going to be good….

A trip about then might be a nice diversion from the madness.
Do you have to make the decision now? I’d like to see this play out a bit although, it will have to be really bad for us to not hit the road.
How about a low country boil? I have pots and a couple of burners. Shrimp, corn, sausage, potatoes, onions, etc. Will need a few more pots and burners depending on how many folks bail. And assuming we can buy supplies.
Jon can use his IR gun to check me for fever before I cook.

Jon – – deeply discharged (as in 95-100$%) will get you 300ish cycles (not 1k). 50% DOD will get you 1000 cycles (not 5K). this is from Lifeline’s own chart. Ask Tom if you want confirmation as he has posts saying the same. Assuming he doesnt change his story about discharge cycles. . .
Under ideal circumstances (their published chart) for ReLion – you will get approx 8k cycles for 50% DOD (not 13k). and this assumes ideal temperature, ideal discharge and ideal recharge – we all know that this is under laboratory environment and not real life (and see how they couldnt have even tested out to that many cycles as time isnt on their side to do so).
Look Lifelines have a long track record – they seem to last about 3-5 years, some longer some shorter. it absolutely is NOT 5000 cycles, as that implies 14 years of AGM lifespan withn one cycle per day… Or if once every 2 days, well over 28 years of use – so why are you even changing if you have 23+ years to go on your batteries based on your expected use pattern (outside of maybe saving weight or charging time). . yeah, maybe some have made it pretty far – but the majority are 3-5 years – implying that lifelines specs on their cycle life is pretty accurate.
In regards to using lithiums much further as in to 80% etc – absolutely. Less weight, smaller size, higher C rates for charge/discharge, much faster recovery, and better use of such space. I’ve said this numerous times. I’m a HUGE lithium supporter. There isnt any negativity on my side about it. I use LiFePO4 in my boat. I use it in the Prevost. What I’m trying to have with this discussion is that – it isnt as easy as a drop in. Yeah, it could work awhile, but there are some things to consider if you dont want to risk bricking your 10K battery investment (or whatever that number is). There are concerns with alternator charging/cutoff, solar charging/cutoff, float/absorption limits and time, Low voltage disconnect (ideally before the bms cuts off), low temperature charging etc. I’ve never not advised people to go lithium – just to protect yourself from its idiosyncracies. . The marine guys have been heavily using lithium onboard since 2010/2011 with varying degrees of success. Mostly surrounding those issues listed above (outside of the low temp charging as the bilge on a boat never really drops below freezing).
So I encourage people to explore and use lithiums. I’m just warning people to research and consider all the issues and not just listen to the disinformation of so called internet battery sales people. (sorry swiping back). And in regards to Relion – i actually tried to give them business. And I was fed disinformation by their own employee who couldnt bother to spend a minute to give me accurate information after I actually asked for something specific. He chose to be lazy and not confirm his own numbers and sent me inaccurate information that cost them a lost sale.

When I was considering recoring vs new, the spread was only about $400, not $1300. If it was the latter, I too may have done the recore. I hope you go new. From bad memory, think I paid about $3200 for new. Jeff knows for sure. My copy of records went with the previous bus.

Get the new one from Prevost. Probably will be a better bet in the long run. Also, how long to get a core to fix the old one? Just bite the bullet and buy new. That way the tanks and everything else will be new.

There is a large and quite active Facebook group for the TSD Fuel Program users. Many were awfully upset over the loss of Flying J/Pilot deep discount over the apparent CW agreement.
Some of the more vocal participants have reached out to both CW and FJ/P to express their displeasure. Some have cancelled their Good Sam membership while others have said will not renew.
This grass roots movement has apparently gotten the attention of both CW and FJ/P customer service centers to the point of the companies both reaching out to complainants to get more background on the issue.

Harry thank you! Is the plug rather than cord reel unusual? I would have thought more common.

Just to add a little more confidence, my memory is five years younger than Jon’s, and it is also 450 ft lbs.

Harry. Sent you a photo of our former Beaver Bus 34. It gad external shore connection by Marinco

Knew Fred Green while I owned a Country Coach Affinity purchased from Buddy Gregg. When we decided to move up to Prevost we talked and made an offer on one Fred had listed. Did his best to get us on his listing but just didn’t work out with his seller.
A true gentleman …..RIP Fred

We bought a new coach a few years ago when we lived in GA. I had a longish conversation with Bennett in MT about the legalities on MT LLC registration. He advised us to buy a small piece of property in FL and register there. Our CPA in GA said the MT deal was clearly tax evasion. He said the GA Dept. of Revenue had folks dedicated to these tax evasion issues because of GA-built Gulfstream jet owners registering elsewhere. There is a whisle-blowers law in GA also. So, we paid a big fat GA sales tax bill and have lived happily ever after.
