Be aware that there ARE scams out there doing exactly this. They steal the pictures from another site and post it with a stupid low price. The scam runs that you just send them the cash and they will deliver the coach to you.

We called a friend with a Prevost saying we were surprised to see they were selling their coach. They were not! We called and we were even near where they said the coach was. We said we wanted to come by and see the coach before giving them any money and they hung up. The phone number no longer worked and the ad disappeared a few days later.

The Louisville ad is a scam. That is the same coach I wanted to buy. It is still for sale in Greenville. #780.

This coach is a Southwest Luxury Coach coach, Phoenix AZ who has it consigned back east. It is former PC members Don and Junes former coach. Originally Marathon 784, was Wye Kittles Coach out of Aspen, followed by owner Klink, followed owner D Monday, then current last owners. We also looked st this coach in 2004 to trade in our 2002 XLII Marathon single slide is why we know the history

Coloradobus forgive me for hijacking this thread but I’ve heard you are the Guru on bus history. Any insight on mine would be interesting.

Marathon #379, 1996 title 1995 chassis. Originally sold by Buddy Gregg in TX to Durwood and Debra McNair, Kingswood, TX. Guessing they were original owners as paperwork shows 6/97.

I have a couple receipts in 2000 for a Steve Watson, from Ft Worth Gear and Axle Svc Ctr. Second owner perhaps?

Last document I have is a note from Jerry James/Jones? to Preston at Marathon FL. Southwest Luxury Coach had purchased bus from/thru Marathon. It stayed in FL I bought it from an affiliate of SWLC in Ft Myers.

Very pleased with it just curious if you know any history. It is an OTR Air chassis with Howard Active Steering and Radiator Mist system installed by Marathon.

From your signature photo, Altho small, may have seen your coach for sale in the past. But it’s number doesn’t ring a bell. Sounds like you have some background on which is great. Over our 20 yrs of bus shopping mostly what I know is from friends and coaches wexwere actively searching out to possibly own.

Howard Active Steering is out of business years ago. Parts are

extremely hard to find. At this time most remove the system in a

shop so as to run into a major malfunction or leak on the

road trip.

Al yes Rick May (Parliament/USA) had told me when IFS showed up Howard system went away. I’ve never tried to use mine, understand the concept but not sure of exact operation.

I have a pushbutton (Marathon) dash switch for ACTIVE STEER. Rotary knob on dash next to a third air pressure guage, and a rocker switch similiar to and located with cruise control and jake switches labeled TRIM.
