FIXED (or nearly so). I think the advice to start over is sound! Looking at the picture I could see that it was a screw that screws into a slot on the side of the cylinder that prevents rotation. I knew I had seen 2 screws so I gave it a try. Sure enough the outside one was loose and tightening it up secured the cylinder. There is still a spot where the key gets stuck so I am going to replace the cylinder when possible. Cleaning and lubrication has help the key turn a lot but with the panel off and the key out you can see from inside out and there appears to be some crud in there yet. Seems like a tiny pipe cleaner or something (or some white grease stuffed in there?) might get that one tiny catch to release. It’s had a bit of a catch for a long time so that part is not new.

Thanks to everyone for ideas. That’s what got me on a Google search for a pictures of what the lock did and how it was attached.

What would serve a Liberty Coach better is an Inverter Bypass switch which to this day are not installed on new Liberty’s.

1. Does the classic have any 24v?

Yes, the Prevost chassis is 24vdc. The OTR ac clutch and fans, dash lights, etc are 24vdc.

2. Do all loads run through the inverters?

No, in the electical cabinet next to the frig. The lower left row has 8 switches/breakers. The bottom 4 operate off inverter #2, and the 4 above them operate off inverter #1.

3. I’m assuming the DN50 (12v) charges the house batteries?

No, the 50 DN is 24v and charges the chassis batteries.

4. Is the small alternator in front of the mitre box for the chassis batteries?

No, it is a 12v alternator that charges the house and gen batteries.

It has a moisture barrier and 7 inches of concrete, it was just a strange event haven’t seen it sense the other day. Rain gutters will also help
