The longer wheel base on the entertainer coaches was to provide a better ride and to provide more bay storage space.
As far as entertainers pulling a trailer, that was rarely the case 10 or 15 years ago, but now it is fairly common. But when it comes to overloading the hitch the motor home owners with the tri-axle stacker trailers or the Harley on the bike lift win the prize for excessive loading. Most entertainer coaches are pulling smaller trailers.

Tom, Jon, I use two pcs and get the error on both. Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8. Here’s the screenshot of what I get when I click “Edit”:

When I get time tonight I’ll try logging on through Google Chrome and see if I can edit that way. Thanks.
I just logged and and changed it

Interesting thread, and quite relevant to my current situation.
I am actively shopping, and I am having a hard time determining whether a stated price for a bus is reasonable. I have accepted the fact that I am just going to have to make an offer as to what I think a particular bus is worth, which in most cases is significantly less than the asking price. Based on the information I have been able to obtain, I think the prices for non slide coaches have weakened, and non slide coaches generally are on the market longer. I think the difference in pricing is attributable to factors beyond the difference in values between a slide vs. non slide coach. I am trying to buy with due consideration of having to sell in the future, and I think the prices on non slide coaches are only going to go down.
On another point: I learned that only Bank of America and Suntrust are loaning on used conversions. Is this information for John Deere current?

OK. Here is the update….
The bearings/race fused to the axle snout. I have the Axle Surgeon coming on Monday to cut off and re-weld a new one.
In addition I am paying another mechanic to do the work in this guy’s shop. Unfortunately I can’t get it towed as it sits now. Bottom line I can’t sleep knowing this guy did the work. Once it is out of his shop I am dropping it off at top notch shop to inspect all parts and work done including the axle snout.
This has been a wild and nearly dangerous ride. I cna’t begin to tell you how extremely frustrating this has been. I guess you would understand since you love your rigs as much as we love ours.
A small seal drip has turned into a massive ordeal. Thank you for your input and tips.

Thanks once again to the pros here for their advice. Can you guide me on where to order the parts from? I assume Liberty’s not the best source.

She is doing very, very well compared to 7 weeks ago. Her vision in the eye that was blind is about 85% by her estimation. We are thankful that God has helped. She was finally able to schedule an “emergency” neurologist appointment for mid-June and goes back to the eye specialist the end of June to have all the original test run again.
Thank you very much for asking and praying for our family.

Glad to hear you had a good experience Peter, I have always had the same. If the folks out there driving 500K plastic ever had the Prevost service experience, they would never go back. You really can’t appreciate the service unless you’ve had fiberglass coaches and tried to get service or repairs done, it’s a nightmare. Is Prevost perfect, no, but they’re the best in the business. Is it expensive, oh ya, but you get what you pay for.

I reserved 233 because on the site map it looked like I could back straight in. I may can change to one of the others you mentioned if you think they would be better.?

I agree, your tag is light. I would guess the one tag bag was deflated when weighed. Your tag weight is clearly outside the nominal, not even the higher loaded, value on the placard. As a result, your drive is over weight. For the longest time DoT limited drive axle weight to 20,000. In recent years it has been increased to 22,000 or 22,500 (I can’t remember which). Although we aren’t subject to the commercial DoT rules, I point these numbers out to show your drive exceeds both Prevost’s limit and commercial limits.
Once you fix the tag, check your weights again.

Thanks Peter, I’ll also be there on the 14th.

Depends where in Houston you want to be.
Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) and 288 there is a nice park. All concrete and shaded. Can’t remember the name. I think owned by the same folks that own Lakeview RV.
Northwest Houston, Traders Village is ok. At 290 and West Rd. just north of the Beltway 8. If it is one of the Trade Day weekends you might want to avoid this area.
Lakeview RV Resort probably the nicest one I know of is South of the medical centers downtown. North of the Beltway 8 and on Main St. (1191) just Sout of I610
In North Houston I think on I45 in the Woodlands area there is a really nice place.
Somebody will chime in here.

10 sign ups for OKC No rally rally. If you made a reservation without mentioning Prevost Community there is a chance of not being with the group in the park.
I have confirmed the meeting room is now reserved for PC use with 10 reservations.
