Depends where in Houston you want to be.

Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) and 288 there is a nice park. All concrete and shaded. Can’t remember the name. I think owned by the same folks that own Lakeview RV.

Northwest Houston, Traders Village is ok. At 290 and West Rd. just north of the Beltway 8. If it is one of the Trade Day weekends you might want to avoid this area.

Lakeview RV Resort probably the nicest one I know of is South of the medical centers downtown. North of the Beltway 8 and on Main St. (1191) just Sout of I610

In North Houston I think on I45 in the Woodlands area there is a really nice place.

Lakeview is the nicest we’ve found in the area. We’ve never been disappointed, but don’t put your trash out for pickup. It really torques Jim the owner, and he’s a very big guy. Carry your trash to the bin. 🙂

However, if you’re just passing through and looking for an overnight stop near Houston, but closer to Katy, there’s Houston West RV park in Brookshire one exit from Flying J. It’s not fancy, but it’s very adaquate. Make sure you have a reservation as they sometimes are full do to happenings at the nearby arena.

South Main RV park is closer in to the city than Lakeview, but very small and tight (and old). I recommend it only if you are desperate.

In any case – make a reservation. RV spots are very limited and there’s a lot of demand due to the outstanding mecical facilities in the Houston area.
