Friction is not a suitable means of securing anything, but if it is locked in place with the bay floor, ceiling and sides you are OK.

    Dick,

I’m away from the bus till later today. but if I recall correctly when I did mine the set of leads labeled “start bateries” on the Guest negative lead goes to the ground and positive to the12 V connection. the second set negative goes on the 12 V lead and the positive goes on the 24 volt lead. If you want confirmation I can look at my installation later today.

As Jon said I only turn it on every few months. It does a nice job as the batts are almost perfectly balanced at the end of the charge. I usually charge them overnight if I have not run the bus in a couple of months.

I was being sarcastic when I posted about doors behind doors. But I do think some owners like the bling factor of polished stainless steel doors covering what is in the bay.

I would guess if you want to impress the guy with the high end motor home on the next site that would do it.

However, I think what is behind the doors is even more impressive. The quality of the worksmanship that is displayed in the electrical bay or at the holding tank really draws attention and praise. It might be just my opinion, but I think that quality is more impressive than the doors covering that stuff.

My polished stainless steel engine cover is sitting behind my propane tank next to my garage.

I have been down the road of overloading with AC’s. Typically the shore power we get in an RV park is low. We bought a power booster to maintain levels of power coming out of the pole ($600)

Last summer I just about blew up everything running 5 AC’s, stoves and everything else imaginable like an idiot.

As stated above, the GEN is the answer to cooling off the bus. The other answer is to go north during the summer where it is cooler.

    Safe Travels.

    Thank You!

I have a lot to learn! When and if it comes time to build a coach, it seems that getting a roof that’s loaded with solar panels will be a great option. Until then, I’ll have to figure out how to rig a windmill!

If all of us were to start listing and describing our “newbie” mistakes PC would have to get a new server. It wouldn’t have the capacity to handle all the posts.

What Steve has done however is to highlight why PC is here in the first place. Almost 1950 members are going to read his post and those who are relatively new owners are somehow going to have that piece of knowledge stored in their minds and they will not run into that problem. We are in the business of all of us helping all others whether we realize it or not. Steve did a good job, and Jeff needs to take a bow for starting the conversation.

When I googled it, the location was showing in California.

    Wyoming is a beautiful State.

    Thanks,

I have not had an air seat that did not leak and the valves for the back support are the crappiest ones I have ever seen and I think they have the life span of the average gnat.

I don’t know the answer short of by passing the valves and installing more reliable but likely ugly valves. You know the back support valves are bad when you adjust their bladder only to find ten minutes later you have to add more air.

I am about to add a solenoid valve in loine so when the key is off all air to the seat is blocked.

Sheesh, even getting grief from across the pond, but let me be clear (where have you heard that before) this is the last bus.
