  • Marker lights

Posted by Chip & Pam on December 28, 2014 at 1:25 pm

back in June I replaced all the marker light bulbs with LEDs. The original prevost markers with LED bulbs. 6 months later, I am concerned about the aging seals on the markers. The roof top markers are the ones. Am talking about.

I would like to replace all the lighting gaskets (seals). I can’t seem to find the right ones online, in July, while at prevost Jacksonville, I asked about the seals but they are not sold separately . So here is my question: do any of you know where I can get replacement gaskets?

Is this the marker light ? Screw holes are 3 5/8 inch apart.

Since LED lights have a significantly greater life than conventional lamps I would use a small bead of RTV silicone sealant around the clearance lights. I don’t really trust gaskets and the bead is not visible if you use the clear and smooth it out.

those at the ones. Admin mentioned putting a silicon bead, that may be the only other option since I can’t find the gaskets.

The gasket is available through TruckLite part number 97701 (gasket only)

Complete marker lights are available from NAPA part # 25250R (red w/gasket)

    # 25250Y (yellow w/gasket)

. These are the exact replacement for OEM with upgrade to 6 LED

Available at NAPA list price $ 25.89 each.

Using your PC – NAPA card, $ 14.75 each

FWIW……Grote lighting is suppler for “clearance” lights used on Prevost in red and yellow replacement in LED.

A call to Grote customer service learned there marker lights need some trimming for install and not available in

    Red lens.

New TruckLite marker light in 6 LED. Note; wires due not have connectors, so you need to do your own reconnect. With factory plug in ends marker lights increase in cost.
