Roof airs probably rule out the majority of coaches (LIberty, Marathon, and Featherlite) made in those years. I believe American, Royale, and County Coach will meet your AC criteria.

More than one observation:

1. A nice, brand new 45′ plastic motorhome is round numbers $1 million. For $1 million I would think one could get a relatively late model Prevost from a converter or very reputable dealer. I would also think that the converter selling one of their own conversions used for $1 million would stand behind it. Plus by the time the coach was a few years old the original converter would have fallen all over itself to make the coach right.

So given that, why would someone buy a $1 million new plastic motorhome when for a $1 million they could get a really nice pre-owned Prevost motor coach? Obsession with a “new coach”? Lack of Prevost knowledge? Desire to continue to work with the same plastic builder they’ve had for their previous one or two or three brand new motorhomes to eventually get it right? Haven’t found the Prevost Community website and forum yet?

2. A previous poster mentioned that Detroit Diesel and Allison are all over. This is a very, very important point. Additionally there are factory Prevost service centers scattered across the country. Then in a pinch there are numerous seated coach operators running Prevosts that can be used when there is a problem. The fact that we ALL use the same basic chassis from the same manufacturer provides us with tons of synergism when it comes to repain and maintenance. We can’t forget we’re riding on the coattails of what … a hundred thousand seated coaches and tens of thousands of entertainer coaches.

To run the Aqua Hot, one needs 12 vdc power and diesel fuel (more than 1/4 tank of fuel). How you keep the house batteries the Aqua Hot draws power from charged is up to you. But once the gen has them charged up, the Aqua Hot will run just fine.

You can run it for one heating cycle or always on to heat the coach in firgid weather. Just use the gen to keep house batteries charged.

Ron, a picture would help a lot. I have never seen a Hercules conversion and I doubt if many if any of us can picture what you are describing. For any of us to help we need your help.

It sure sounds like a lazy breaker but that is only a guess.

this one is a country coach motorhome, so not an entertainer, although it could have been a lease … it has low miles, so I’ll be eager to get the history next week.
