More info on the Blue OX tow bar weld failure.
Gathered from another web site….
Blue Ox make several different tow bars. The most common ones seem to have the “knuckle”. The newest one is the one we have and it does not have the knuckle. I added a folder with photos the other day. I attached two so you can see where it broke. These pieces should be intact. If you search the internet for the Avail tow bar you will see the bar that fits into the receiver in your hitch has a piece of steel welded on either side of that bar. That is where ours broke. I should have more info later this week when I get the new tow bar.

All you Mushers having flattened tires and hookup problems and light and electric problems, us stacker guys
don’t know what that is.
What is a Blue Ox? Sounds like a cartoon character.

I think the best answers are going to come from CC owners.
With a CC Prevost conversion you have Prevost support for the chassis and that is important. That is one reason why “orphans” are not to be ruled out as potential candidates for purchase. But this is a chassis that was built in very limited numbers and parts have the potential to be non-existent. For example, what happens if you scrape the bay doors? Or how do you go about sourcing even common parts that you can get through Prevost or with trade numbers through a local truck supply house. Who can provide sources or part numbers?

I have a dumb question. Can the Michelin Tire Program and or NAPA be used any vehicle or just for Coaches? Thanks

Mike/Coachcrazy wrote “I’m assuming you then create a 3 way or 2 way valve from each of these solenoid valves?”
No, my level low Norgren 5 stack setup has 5 of these and then I have two Norgren K41EA00KS1KV2 that have 1 each, for a total of 7.
Your bus may vary?
12v coil(54452-02, $22ea) and/or 24v coil(54452-03,$16ea) are readily available online from Norgren Express.

Mike,
Please mention PC when talking to Liberty..

Bill, -Thanks for the offer. Marathon has a floor plan that works easily if you can find one (with the walk in closet on between the kitchen and bath) – Im assuming maybe that could be similar to what you have?
– in any event – that is an impressive amount of time with three kids in a Coach!…mine are ready to go home within about 9-10 days….
Lonestarce:
That may be opne of the coolest ideas (and coaches) Ive seen. That is one custom layout and design. I honestly really like the idea…and my kids would be all over it…. Im assuming the bay is quite tight from weather and fumes?
Thanks for bringing that design to my attention!

In 20 years of touring 10 months out of the year I have never needed a heat gun

I called Clark back and confirmed they would be able to calibrate everything. They had already pulled all the parts, had them set aside and printed out directions to where I am for the tech. Confirmed everything is ready to go and they will take a CC for the service call.
If they can get me moving down the road, that’s all that matters to me. It’s getting cold here!

Thanks for the update, and especially the good news.
Have no fear Joanne, Buddy and I remain good friends and the only time either of us was ready to beat somebody up was when the other drivers acted like morons.
Neither of us have been passengers so for me, and i think Buddy it was strange sitting in the passenger seat. It is a whole different perspective.

I’m not sure what the price of the Pressure Pro is, but the system I have could have been pricey and for the difference in price my system is not that much better than the Pressure Pro to merit having unless you’re concerned with the stem mounted sensors…

New single E rated glass is 80% of energy factor of the dual payne orig glass. Is slightly thicker at 5/16. Rather than 2 ea 1/4 plates with air gap. 65$ for driver side window.
The final install is one single payne at 5/16 rather than the dual payne at 1 inch. Triva I know.. But a decision for people on budget and could fill tank sever times.

If the driveway is skinny you need a wide road. If the road is not wide you need a wide opening at the mouth of the driveway or be prepared to drive on the lawn, flowers, shrubs, etc .
My driveway goes up a steep hill so it is a one way driveway. I leave to the right, and back in from the right. The road is about 17 to 18 feet wide and has a guard rail so I cannot allow the RH front to hang over as I back in.
As wide as the mouth of the driveway is and as shallow as the angle relative to the road is almost the entire bus is in the driveway before the driver’s side is parallel to the upper edge and about 12 to 18″ from the edge. In other words I need a lot of real estate either in the road or in the driveway. I have backed off the road in a 40 foot solid axle, and a 45 foot solid axle and a 45 foot IFS. The sharper turn radius of the IFS coach makes no difference because of the narrow road.

Buddy. I revised an omission in my post to clarify that I do on fact believe the temp gauge and sesor are not malfunctioning.
I have also cut pressure relief slots in my long generator exaust in case the pinched exhsust pipes (from road debris) possibly was causing the over heating..
