Nearly a Newbie!
I wanted to formally introduct myself as I have been doing some lurking here for the past few months, and thought it was about time to come out of the shadows.
Although the dues were considerable!! – Jeez , I decided anyway to join this group mainly because of the interaction I have seen and knowledge passed without jugement or prejudice. some of the other forums as I’m sure you probably alredy know are difficult to read Or even want to read after a short time.
I am one of the fortunate ones who are young enough to make a run at upgrading to a prevost. I have narrowed it down to just two that appear to fit my families needs and hope to finailize a purchase before the end of the year.
My background is electronics. I own and opperate a small (32 people) Audio / Video shop in southern Delaware. for those of you that follow the Nascar scene – I live and work 20-30 minutes south of the Dover Monster Mile.
Yes, I listed that I am a Crestron and Control4 dealer. my specialty is Residential and Commercial applications. – so before you send me a bunch of p.m.’s on the subject – please remember my experience is outisde of the coach environment. – that being said – most things hold true in any installation.
I look forward to obviously getting our new bus, as well as, interacting with all of you in the time ahead!

As you have already surmised, this is THE place if you are interested in or already own a Prevost. Just be aware that some of the characters around here MAY provide fictious answers to questions. I personally have never been witness to such a thing, but…
You also need to be aware that, almost without exception, everyone here gets huge satisfaction in helping others spend their money….just a couple of friendly heads ups… 😉

Funny enough I had wanted a prevost prior to this summer then your little vist across the way reminded me…My wife sends here appreciation to you for visiting our little beach LOL
so, Jon – since Dore;l sorta helped “recruit me” does that give him some sort of dues exemption for some period of time???

Dorel is on probation because we still haven’t seen the customary small gift we expect from new members so we have to think about some exemption.
Just so you are aware it is customary for all new members to provide a small gift to all other members when they join PC. Nothing big, just a small token of appreciation for being allowed to join such a group. Typically it is a Rolex, or the title to a new coach.
Admin shows its appreciation by promising to not double your dues in the second year.

Mike, welcome aboard the Best Prevost owners community forum on the net!Thanks again for helping that night, I was after 12 hrs drive, and parking was very tight with all the vehicles / toads parked by their camping units. Regards to your wife from us, we enjoyed meeting you guys!
As we discussed, here you have wealth of coach information from all aspects and help when you are in doubt or trouble on the road.
I know you take a joke or two, don’t get “pushed away” by some comments made here…Aldo I agree with 3F, you should keep Tom and Jon on your Christmas list, or at least think about it….Now for the coaches you are looking at, I am sure you did your homework, but this group might have info that will help you on your decision making.
Just ask, there are not stupid questions, we are all in this together learning everyday something new about these Ultimate machines…I am sure with your electric/electronics knowledge you can assist lots of folks here.

Dick, forget how much money he has. We are not happy unless we can drive a new owner deep into debt.
When he gets his coach it will still take weeks for the grin to wear off his face no matter how guilty he feels about the amount he spent to buy a coach.

Dont worry all – I have spent half a lifetime on hold with the likes of Comcast, Crestron, Control4, Verizon ….(insert your worst vendor story here) My skin is probably made of Stainless by now. lol
As far as coaches – Im eyeing a couple in the 99-01 range. one is a H3 and one is a XLII.
both are at dealers that support the site, so I will start with fresh tires, lifeline batteries, and all the major services.
One of my top items on floorplan was a coach that would allow me to convert some closet space into bunks. One of the coaches is a Liberty with the long hallway leading to the bath that has closets on both sides. Since we are mostly traveling and not staying longer than a week at any one time I value the bunks more than the increased storage.
It appears by utilizing the closet and pantry space on the driver side (all side by side) it can make for a ample sized set of bunks. My Kids are 11 and 8, and they like to get away from time to time. – this upgrade to me trumps slides.
If any one wants to weigh in on this idea the coach that I have been told can accomodate this is at Olympia – and is pictured on the site – 2000 H3-45 Liberty.
If anyone disagrees with the viability of this concept I would be excited to hear about it !!
