Jeff,
Congratulations on the purchase of the ‘new-to-you’ Liberty Coach!
You will truly enjoy being part of the Liberty Coach family as we are.

Great news Roy and good to hear your coach ran to perfection. It’s also great to know Martha is over the “white knuckles”. It takes a little while to settle in for sure…
By the way Roy, whatever you and Martha do don’t go over and see Jeff at ETLC. Talking about white knuckles, woo-dogies!

Get in touch with Robert Glines that posted above. He knows what he is talking about. He has converted 3 or 4 buses.
You might post on http://www.busconversions.com/. There are a lot of guys there that have converted or are converting from seated coaches.
Staley knows entertainer coaches well and is helpful, as was stated. https://www.staleycoach.com/
Also https://www.busforsale.com/home/index.php always has many buses listed for sale. Looking through their site and Staley’s can give you an idea of the market, should you choose to buy something already converted.
Converting from scratch is something I considered. Once considered, I knew I lacked the time, skills and money. Lots of guys do it. If you can do it and you choose to do so, more power to you!

I think full timing combined with what is the lack of secure inside storage is what jacks up premiums. But I agree that shopping it might be prudent.

if you really want it go for it.. different rubber also. costly….I have done many–10 plus– and have about a 75% success rate without cracking. FWIW..You are talking about one of the large windows on side? Front windshield no problem..Not nay sayer here just wishing you better luck than I. Bob

Since the Prevost community is so close knit and with the groups vast experience & connections, I’m surprised no one has any info on the coach I referenced. I have read the praises of Steve Bennett and figure I will get the straight story from him.

I just can help but notice the rock on her finger….wow, that set Donald back a few bucks.

A switch of that nature works on any voltage. It is nothing more than a switch that is operated by a pneumatic bellows.

Hi Ed. I remember your call. I believe your leading the fight against the new quarry?
If your bored this weekend, look me up at San Antonio Raceway, wx permitting, I’ll be drag racing my top sportsman TransAm . Look for my Prevost. It’s usually the only one there. I’ll give you a tour.

In my opinion, fuel lines are good until they’re not good anymore. We install about 250 aux. fuel tanks in trucks every year. Very rarely do we have any fuel line problems. The only time we replace them on older units is when replacing a sending unit or pump and the line is too hard to work with and we have to cut it off.
There is one line on our coaches that will eventually leak. I’ve seen it on mine and my dad’s coach as well. The line going from the secondary fuel filter to the top of the head has two clamps that hold it in place. Both times, the lower clamp just above the starter has rubbed a hole in the line. If Im not mistaken, there has been others that have run into this fuel leak as well.
Not a big deal to fix, $62 fuel line (you have to have it made as Detroit has discontinued it), getting your body in an absolute pretzel position, and 300 swear words later you will be good to go. In fact I was leaving Florida and noticed the drip of fuel about every 10 seconds and still drove back to Texas to fix it in my shop.

It takes 15 minutes to change that setting. This includes walking to the coach with the laptop, plugging it into the coach and changing the setting. That estimate is way too high.

That’s a nice money making shop ticket….for sure !

Hi Diane and thank you. I’d love to hear from you after you read my book. I’ve had such great comments from ladies. People tend to forget about the women of the old west and they were a special kind who stood by her man and built this nation. It’s unfortunate so many don’t even know of that time in our history and that’s very sad!
After all the covered wagon was the first RV…
