I’ve written a novel I think you may like!
Hi guys,
I just had a Western published called “The Human Animals”… If you’re a Western fan I’ll not hesitate to say you’ll love the book! If you’re not a Western fan I’ll go out on a limb and say you may become one. It’s a great story that takes place in the Wyoming and Colorado Territory of the 1860’s. And although it’s a work of fiction many things in the novel are true! Oh, and I’m delighted to say women like the book. Not surprised mind you, delighted…
Here are some comments about “The Human Animals”…
“Best Western I ever read” – “A fast paced combination of fact and fiction, loved the part about the Denver Fire of 1863” – “A terrific read” – “A perfect blending of action packed adventure and humor” – “Ugly, now that’s Pure genius!” – “Your characters jumped off the page” – “ I was hooked on the first couple pages! – “No profanity or sex and I still liked it”!
In full disclosure there was a comment you could consider negative when it was said:
“Maybe the best western I’ve read and I’ve read a plenty. Just be ready for the first 15 pages, it’s not easy reading”!
I agree with that; the first 15 pages give the book “The Human Animals” it’s name… Those pages are tough to read but you’ll like what comes later!

Here’s the description shown on the back of the book…
Six men from Texas rode up to the ranch house seeking water for their horses on a beautiful Wyoming afternoon in 1863… Then killed the rancher, his wife, four little girls and a little boy! They did it for no reason, no purpose, they did it because they could! What they didn’t know is the family is kin to the Raaddick and Cole families. Two of the most powerful families in the Wyoming territory and one of the most feared when wronged!
The six don’t know it yet but they set in motion a chain of events spanning the Wyoming and Colorado Territories, the Confederacy, the Union Pacific Railroad and gold, millions of dollars in gold! One Roddick and one Cole set out hunting them for the animals they are! Two against six may seem like poor odds, but the Raddick’s and Cole’s are anything but Pilgrims!
They will ask no quarter and will give none because the killing of their family cannot stand! This is an epic tale of good over evil, where good must prevail so others can survive and a nation can be built! And there’s Ugly; Half Wolf, Half Grizzly and Half Alligator…

FYI, the Union Pacific Railroad was the original owner of my Flxible. But, that was a few years after the story in the book.

Hi Harry,
Will you be taking your bus out this Summer for a book tour? I can only guess there’s a number of RV Parks and Resorts who would welcome an Evening with H.J. discussing your new book and telling us the back story of what it took for you to write that first paragraph.
P.S. It was nice of you to include me in the Foreword and acknowledging your Friend and Mentor for being your inspiration and motivating factor of penning this book. Unnecessary, but appreciated. But for the life of me, why did you spell my name J-o-n?

Harry, is there any truth to the rumor your next book will be a fictional look at the characters you’ve encountered during your period of motorhome ownership?
If so, can Robert Redford (older me) and Channing Tatum (younger me) play my role when you sell the movie rights?

Hi Jon, I understand I can have the book auto signed but that’s like seeing you with an iPhone… Just so wrong on so many levels! But I’ll be delighted to sign it in person and would make that happen.
And Jon, I’m not at all sure of the “quickie” of which you speak? Although I did order a quickie once and wow did the waitress get mad… I found that’s not how you say quiche!
