Dan find the air line that comes in from the compressor then put the norgren water trap there just before the spitter cup you can leave the spitter cup or take it out I would put a ball valve shut off after the water trap or before the water trap just In case the versa valve fails so air can not make it to the norgren water trap or the compressor just order one from prevost of the same size as the one they put in the steering bay

    Jeff,

What is a ball park cost to install a fire system for the engine compartment and generator compartment?

    Thanks,

Poor Nancy. She is hard working and loyal and will sometimes even pretend she does not want slides, and then she gets blamed for tire problems.

We got your back Nancy. If you want any help picking out the perfect slide coach I am here to help.

Signed up while at the Parliament rally and we are looking forward to this event.

Last time we went, there was this PC guy who snapped-up a very nice Rolls right from under our eyes.

I offered him 5K over what he paid for it but he did not seem to be interested.

    🙂 … 🙂 … 🙂

Anyway, for anyone who reads this and has not been to this event, sign-up now. It is a lot of fun looking at all of the antique and not so antique cars in the auction and the many cars in the car corral.

I am sure that Bill Miller will take good care of all of us and Gabi and I look forward to enjoying every bit of this event.

    Cheers,

    Ronald

    Jim & Chris,

That’s a light front axle weight compared to what I’m used to. I run 110 on the steer and 100 on the tag for 365’s. But, I’m sure you can run less air than that.

Jon has a link to the Michellin tire pressure chart for your particular weights. I’m sure he will chime in.

    Andy:

I saw the beautiful bulbous back end of that flexi as we approached you. I slowed just to enjoy the view of your coach. I was going to blow the horn but did not want to scare you. We did wave and give two thumbs up as we passed.

Glad to to hear that the “fancy” resorts accept you.

Drive safe and and thanks for keeping a classic on the road. !!

    Fred,

I’m sure it would add an air of authority while searching for those two incorrigibles. ;^)

    Mike,

Based on your 50DN at 24V, you are faced with a bit of a dilemma. The house bank and chassis bank could be both at 24V. However your inverter in hand requires 12V. I hope Jon chimes in, but the equalizer that’s standard to create a usable 12V is probably 100A or maybe less. That’s a little light given the chassis loads demanding service also at 12V.

On a boat, the “backup” charging source is a genset, which you don’t have. It usually has a small isolated starting battery. This can bring all things back to life. Without that, you need a jump start if it all runs down.

I am still thinking, but I think the most economical alternative is to replace your 12V inverter with a 24V one. Then create a separate isolated house bank for primarily your 120V loads via that inverter. This bank can be small, maybe 4 golf cart batteries at about $400. Maybe $800-1000 if AGM is required. Depends on housing and ventilation. Then a battery combiner can charge this bank off the 50DN alternator while on the road. And yet again from a 24VDC charger on land power.

Keeping the 12V inverter probably dictates having a 12V alternator, That costs first the alternator and regulator itself, and second the physical means to mount it. The mounting part, I’m not sure how hard that is.

Some first thoughts to think about.

    Hey Ray,

Did you log Lupe’s contact information and physical address into the PC Map database. Others might be on the road looking to solve a similar problem. I had an generator alternator fail while in Maine at lunch with our dog in the coach. Fortunately we returned before the inside got too hot. We wound up going to a local, and I do mean local, rebuilding company. One man shop, lots of marine generators and alternators all over the place. Man took my alternator to the back, came to the counter and told me what the problem was and how long it would take to make the repair. I asked if it was possible to have it back by 9:00 AM the next morning. I got there early and the repair person asked what kept me so long getting there. That shop is logged on the PC map database.

We were treated to some down home Maine humor while there, at no additional cost except some sore muscles/flab from laughter. Shop is “the starter shop” at 101 Western Road, Warren Maine. The owner is Arthur Anderson, (207 273-2161. See how good my memory is …. I kept his business card and remembered where it was!

    Thanks for the help.

I contacted Rick Short at ISRI and sent him pictures of my seat and control valve. He told me my control valve ISRI pt# is 917521-08 and my seat model is 6500.

Tinman directed me to Tyler @ Darby Manufacturing. I called him and gave him the pt# Rick Short gave me and the pt# on Tinmans invoice. He said they’re the same part, just that Tinmans # is the old #.

Darby Manufacturing price is $98 us + $46 us shipping from Canada to me TX. OUCH!!!!!!! Oh Well. They have it in stock and will ship tomorrow. Its ordered.

Another ISRI seat dealer, Carmacseats, quoted me $184 + shipping, and 45 days lead time. NOT!!

Better price from the Canadian dealer? Exchange rate maybe?
