Now on the Aztec Resort, area is not most desirable, but once inside the resort, we found out the resort personnel and neighbors are friendly/talkative, lots of eve get together under some impressive

tikies…lots of Quebec richies, some with 2-3 Bentleys and some sports cars in their driveway…oh well…

I’ll be in 408 this week.

How did you like that space…and of course, the resort?

408 was no avail when we got there, but it’s just across the check in place, lots of engine noise, not good…332 was better, across from club house, quiet and close to amenities

I was placed in 408 last week and it’s located directly in front of the check-in/registration area. While I didn’t hear too much engine noise as the guests seemed to adhere to the sign that stated to turn off engine. It was far from being the quietest spot in the park. On a positive note, it was just a few steps from the clubhouse, pool and all amenities. I was there on Thursday and that’s the night they do their five hour happy hour(s) at the spacious outdoor venue that’s located on the back side of the clubhouse. The live band played from 5pm – 10pm and was well attended. Because the venue is located down the street from the space, the music was only a bit intrusive, but when the bus doors were closed, it wasn’t too much of a factor.

I’ll add that space included a fairly large tiki hut that was furnished with basic style patio furniture: Round table, four chairs and two chaise loungers. The tiki did not have lighting or a ceiling fan. It’s a back-in space and while it has a spacious grass area (good for the Dog) on the rear of the lot, the front view is of the clubhouse and the coaches checking into the resort.

The good news is that secure Xfiniti WiFi access (available at no charge if you’re a Comcast customer) is available in that section and the signal was strong!

I’m working on a review of this resort. It’s an interesting place. It’s located an hour of my home and I will return for a quick getaway. I did meet a PC Member when he was checking in after a long drive from the frozen Northeast! Temperatures were in the upper 70’s and I’m sure he was happy to be in the Sunshine State!

    Hey Gadget ,

Good looking Rig You have there ! Did they give You any Grief about their Restrictions on No coaches over 15 years of age ? I have looked at their website before and thought it looked like a nice place. But since My Coach is a 1996 Model. I quit looking. Seems pretty pricey ?

Bringing in a 59 year old bus requires advanced approval at most upscale resorts. While I’ve visited three resorts that have age restrictions in the past month, I’ve adopted the practice of contacting them in advance, providing them a link to my overview video of the bus and then asking if it’s acceptable at the specific resort. So far not one resort has said no and were quite enthusiastic. Two out of the three resorts required “board” approval and in both cases that only took one day for a positive response.

Needless to say I’ve met quite a few nice folks at the resorts and spend a lot of time answering questions. It does bring a lot of smiles!

    Hey Maudi,

Was that you who did the slow pass on my driver’s side and gave the wave?

As you were passing and I saw you in the mirrors, we were discussing that a beautiful Prevost is approaching!

    Andy:

I saw the beautiful bulbous back end of that flexi as we approached you. I slowed just to enjoy the view of your coach. I was going to blow the horn but did not want to scare you. We did wave and give two thumbs up as we passed.

Glad to to hear that the “fancy” resorts accept you.

Drive safe and and thanks for keeping a classic on the road. !!
