Having a power issue 1995 liberty xl
ok so I have recently purchased a 1995 liberty xl, while in the shop some power supply issues have suddenly appeared. To start i have replaced a contacter that was arc’d pretty bad . Still no power to the control boards to allow charging batteries or to start the generator, I do now have shorepower to the contacter but I don’t seem to have the power to pull in the contacter does anyone on here know where to find the relay or fuse that supply’s the power to the a1a2 location to pull it in, also on the panel in Tt he second bay the indicator is flashing CPU fault. When the emergency battery is activated the fault flash disappeared.
any help is welcome, like I said I just got this bus and don’t know squat about it yet

You need to start and run the coach, and or apply a 24 volt charge on the house battery circuit to energize the a/b system to recognize power and allow it to transfer…

It sounds like you have an Elegant Lady (a 24V coach) and it will help by listing information like that in a signature line so advice can be correct and specific.
Where are you currently located? The reason for asking is we have a lot of members, and if there is someone familiar with your coach nearby you may be able to get another owner to help.

Today I checked the batteries , they are charged, called liberty they think it is a power issue with the Allen Bradley so I ordered a power box for it, tried pulling fuse 48 to reset it but to no avail and the CPU fault light came back when I put the fuse back in. The power at the input to the power supply was 24 volt

I have no clue if this applies but on my 97 when I changed house batteries once I could not get the house to come alive after I turned the inverter and house master switches back on.
But there is a module with a key at the end of the A-B bank of controllers. I turned the key off and turned it back on after about a minute and rebooting the system brought everything alive again.
See if there is a key in the left side of the A-B bank and just for grins try rebooting the system. Can’t hurt.

Tried pulling the fuse as this unit has no key, will keep it out for a few minutes when I get back to the unit

Damn. You just used 100% of what i thought I knew about making the A-B work again.

Put in new power supply today , now I have power to the unit but no pc run light and no cpu fault light, when I push a button I get acknowledged on the unit by a light that a button is pushed, do I need to have the computer reprogrammed, and if so where do I take it to get that done?

I talked to Frank (remote axis) on the phone today.
I pointed him to Liberty and ETLC just like Jon did. I’m certainly NOT full of myself (yet), but I think I’ve learned some stuff.
I mentioned to Frank that I’ve been monitoring these Prevost Forums for probably seven years now and this is ONLY the SECOND Allen-Bradley “I can’t get it to work” problem that I can remember. Of all the things go through on our coaches, the A-B system appears to be close to the bottom of the list.
Frank is in the Jacksonville area and I suggested he make the pilgrimage to Stuart.

so the issue was a power spike that killed my transfer switch, erased the Allen Bradley memory and killed the board, bottom line is always use a surge protector and make the shop use it when plugged in at their location.
