  • 1996 XL Country Coach

I have a 1996 Prevost Country Coach XL. What is the switch on the drivers floor by hour left foot? It looks like old school head light dimmer switch. Thanks

It could also be your air horn.

It is the engine emergency by pass switch.

If you get a code that shuts your engine down, you can press and hold the switch down to keep the engine running long enough to get off the road.

So you knew this whole time and were testing us? Or, how did you confirm that?

Nope I’m still learning. I have always had fifth wheel campers. This is my first RV. It has been a lot to learn but we are getting there. I have done everything from new floors inside, recovered my walls. For the outside I have replaced all the airbags, shocks. I have also removed the battery box for the house batteries sandblasted and painted it with new lifeline 8D’s. And a complete overhaul of my water heater compartment. So we are learning everyday on this one. Thanks again!
