There is not enough attention being paid to inattentive drivers by legislation or law enforcement. People still are driving under the influence and I don’t think those numbers have diminished to the extent they should. But now we add the widespread abuse of drugs, and in some states it is even legal. To that poor driving we have an entire society that cannot go 5 minutes without looking at their phone. As if that wasn’t enough cars are becoming connected to the internet so if a driver is not drunk or screwing with his phone he can be using his car to find the closest restraurant or massage parlor.

The only way it will really stop (apart from driverless cars which is in effect what we already have) is if we disable all devices when moving above walking speed, and have ignition blocking equipment that will not allow a car to start if the driver has been imbibing.

When I am emperor I will take car of this, but until then we all have to remember the morons are out to get us.

I have had dish and direct when I had My house. When I switched from dish to direct I seen a big difference. I just left Je ff’s shop where His team of highly trained technicians installed a direct traveler dish and of course Direct T.V.I think the best!!!!!! Steve

I’d be okay storing it at another yard, but I still would need to get it into my driveway to load/unload and, more importantly, do maintenance (which I plan to do as much of as I can).

So is the 43′ quoted turning radius (assuming accurate) with tag up or down? I don’t know what is involved in raising, lowering the tag, but if I raised it how much does that trim the quoted 43′, if at all?

our house accumulator tank is actually about a liter (if that). Not very big at all, and defenitly doesn’t include a pressure gauge. So without installing a pressure gauge past the tank, it’s hard to get a measurement. Because the accumulator tank is small, it really doesnt take much for our pump to kick on once we open a faucet (as in a couple seconds).

As for removing the fridge when something may be wrong with the 18 year old RO system? I would think installing a new RO system that has all the needed components in the water bay would be a better approach honestly. Just would require a smaller tank for the RO system (and since it’s olny feeding the icemaker/fridge water, it doesn’t need to be that large, gallon at most). There in the back of the bay between the water heater and the fresh holding tank. Anything to make repairs more user friendly is a better approach then keeping things the way they are.

Heck sounds like Tom got so feed up with his RO system he went to a Marathon. Tanks is probably sitting behind a panel secured in place with velcro 😉

After installing a new refer, I decided to test the capabilities of our 2 year old batteries.

Now mind you, when we first got the batteries, they worked great. We could go all day or all night without needing to run the generator. On our drive out west this spring, I noticed we were getting a couple hours at best out of a charge before the autostart would kick in.

Tested batteries and they are charged to 13.5 which matches what is showing on the panel.

So last night i unplugged, set the autostart and didnt have much on (refer and microwave clock). Wasnt watching TV, had no lights on, etc.

So the test started at 4:30 PM. Sitting outside enjoying the warm summer evening with a southern touch of humidity, at 8:00 PM the generator kicked in.

So 3.5 hours. Not the fridge running constantly.

Readings on the panel showed the following:

The Line Voltage and current held pretty steady for the entire time until the compressor kicked in and of course that caused a spike. But still shouldn’t be so much that it would drain the batteries that quick, forcing the generator to auto start.

So since I did this test at East Tennesse Luxury Resort, I’ll talk to jeff about it this morning. Hopefully he doesn’t tell me to upgrade to Crestron/iPads so I can monitor everything from outside the coach while I enjoy the evening 🙂

Peter or anyone, I must be like my dumb monkey avitar because I’ve got a bald spot from scratching my head on how to remove the portion of the switch housing the light bulb. Anybody with a snap shot of where to insert the crow bar would be appreciated.

I’m also looking for a pair of hub caps for my steering axle. I don’t care if they mismatch my others if they are a deal. We have a retarder and I use it often. Because of the glaciers and where we live, we drive through Chicago often. I’ve found that in heavy traffic the retarder is an effective way of managing our speed without using the service brakes.

Can a Jake brake be retrofitted to a DD Series 60?
