Just talked to Craig and he said there is a X brace that goes corner to corner that is pulled away from radiator and that’s what hitting aluminum piece , the suction from fan is pulling X brace into fan, Mine does not have a X brace, is that someone has added????

Sounds like you and Gabi are having a good time. We’ll miss you at Pelican. Jean and I stayed there when it was new. I would check the pool before went in though. There were tiny little things swimming around in it. I’ll second dinner at Kiva. They had an awesome open mike night. I’ve tried to attach a photo of our Essex (at the time). We were the only ones there.

Found out that the Bendix dryer that I wanted is back ordered for at least 3 weeks so I spoke to a Bendix tech Chad that was very good and we talked about what I needed and he explained about dryers the AD-SP 800972 dryer is a dryer that uses system air to purge and the AD9 dryer uses air stored in canister up above and AD9 is tried and true but a little bigger and hard to change filter, The only problem is the bracket is different and the air outlet is on bottom so I will have to drill some holes to mount and re plumb the out going air. A dryer up grade from Wabco to Bendix AD9 dryer from Prevost

I84 was the most sketchiest road I’ve ever been on in the coach. Good thing I let tam drive as we got into oregon, and she got to deal with coming down into pendleton 🙂
Hmm, maybe that’s why I was worried?
Snoqualmie isn’t bad if it’s open, and lookout and 4th of july pass aren’t that bad, again, if they are open.
No matter what, track weather and only run when their isn’t weather and during day light hours.
Or park the coach, rent a car and get a room at the kimpton alexis hotel in the downtown area 🙂

If the jacks are extended at all to support the chassis there remains some risk, but admittedly significantly less than an unsupported coach.
I also use air over hydraulic 20 ton jacks to support the coach, but I lower the jack completely and use the center screw post to reach up to the chassis support.
It may appear I am overly concerned and I am. We had a fellow bus owner killed because he got under the bus to do a simple repair or adjustment. The chassis support stands which would have saved his life were in the bay of the bus.

With experience I can say that the dumbest thing I ever did was buy a coach with a generator NOT on a slide.
One of the primary repairs on these can be the first main bearing seal. You have to take the generator apart while in the bay. That means taking the entire electric generating system off of the engine.
If you do additional work on the generator, it cannot be taken out. If required to be removed, this requires disconnecting the hoses which you cannot access except from the back from the other side bays which we had to remove. We removed the bay walls to get to this thing. These gensets are installed from the inside out. The remote radiator then leaked which required removal from the back wall where it was located….
After the 12 hours of labor on the generator itself, we were ready to roll. Unfortunately, the seal itself literally had a less than one-sixteenth of a roll in its seal and it leaked again….. there went another 10 hours …. and this was a very good experienced Prevost mechanic accustomed to CC conversions.
We could have done this in six hours on the slide tray … run it and tested before placing back in position….

Ken, nobody is ignoring you, just surprised nobody has responded.
Did you measure alternator output to verify if it not charging?
Did you then run a jumper to the field terminal from the 24V battery positive to make sure the alternator is functioning. Pay close attention because when you do that the output voltage is unregulated and you need to pull the jumper if the voltage starts to go up past 28V.
If the alternator does put out voltage with the jumper attached the regulator is bad. If not the probable issue is the alternator. Obviously you need to check all connections.

you own an H, it’s a Marathon and you’ve identified electric bay heater and you may have the Canadian heat pkg. A call to marathon can verify that. So you have 12/24 heat, electric tow kicks, and if you have CAN heat pkg which also allows cruise air operation into the teens because of heat strip aids, your coach has double pane windows, you going to be in Bermuda’s
we spent 5 weeks in below zero temps Feb 2015 after my mother died in our former 1992 Prevost XL Beaver bus with seven webasto convectors, and the dogs were sweating we ran genset for five weeks straight stopping it long enough to check fluids and General appearance check
in the underbelly, between supplemental heaters along with heat the Kohler generates you’re not going to freeze. Warning. If it’s that cold outside, you’ll need a scarf 😉

I have had a leaky trailer tire for a few weeks and decided it would be a great idea to have it fixed. The last time I had aired it up, by chance, the leak was right on top of the tire and I could feel it by hand. Amazing what a nail can do to your tire.
Anyways, I read good things about Big O Tires online and called them to find out if they repair tires. Yes, we do. So if I drop it off today, can I have it back tomorrow? Well, if you drop it off now, we can have it fixed in 45 minutes. Wow.
So I went about taking the wheel off of the trailer. Only problem was, that I could not break the 8th lug loose. So wimpy me goes back to calling Big O. Do you offer road service? Where are you? Less than 5 minutes from your location. OK, we will send somebody over with a truck.
Lug nut came off and wheel was taken to the shop. 45 minutes later, another guy shows up with the fixed tire. Put it on and tells me, it is $250 for this job. What??? I could not believe what I had just heard.
I went to their shop later on to pay and found it to be pretty big with tractor trailers parked outside. They are a Michelin tires dealer and sell other brands and provide general tire services.
Anyways, I will add them to the list.

Hi Jon, I didn’t realize ETLC did this kind of work and would be an excellent place for me location wise. Plus Jeff and I are close personal friends… My last time there I was tearing out a check when Jeff siad “Just leave the book”! See what I mean… Close and personal!
Hi Jim, Did Javelina fix your existing panel or make a new one? I actually don’t remember if my panel turned off when the key was turned off or not? I really don’t remember as its been awhile ago.
