Bendix Dryer
This is the dryer that I have does it look familiar, It is a Bendix there are a couple of numbers on it 1st L2106T 2nd 5009110 everything I look up for Bendix the numbers don’t match anything

Is Bendix a good Dryer? I was going to get a Wabco R955205 Saver 1200 it’s quite a bit more money is the Wabco a better unit?

The AD-SP should be interchangeable with the SS1200. Bendix has long been the gold standard in air brake components & copied by many. Do not know if there is a performance difference between these 2 parts. Dryers with 12v heaters are most common & will cost less than 24v models. You can save $100 or more if you purchase a 12v model and reuse your 24v heater. Reman dryers are also available.

Called Bendix and they said direct replacement for my dryer is a AD-SP 800887 find it parts $391 ??

Note that this number shows up as 12v heater. May need to check the voltage at the dryer connector. Usually our coach requires 24v

Checked it and it is 24v I ordered A Bendix AD-SP-800972 24v dryer

Found out that the Bendix dryer that I wanted is back ordered for at least 3 weeks so I spoke to a Bendix tech Chad that was very good and we talked about what I needed and he explained about dryers the AD-SP 800972 dryer is a dryer that uses system air to purge and the AD9 dryer uses air stored in canister up above and AD9 is tried and true but a little bigger and hard to change filter, The only problem is the bracket is different and the air outlet is on bottom so I will have to drill some holes to mount and re plumb the out going air. A dryer up grade from Wabco to Bendix AD9 dryer from Prevost
