MemberApril 16, 2016 at 5:26 pm in reply to: The Law regarding Prevost Coach operation in TNI mentioned a “Private Coach” plate in the second
license plate location because there’s no way a police officer could miss that
before initiating a stop. The goal being
not to get stopped. The “Private Coach”
placard near the door won’t be seen until you’re already on the side of the
road with disco lights behind you. Additionally,
the “Private Coach” plate could be useful in the unlikely event that
the traffic stop involved further litigation.FYI: A commercial
motor vehicle can be stopped at any time, no reasonable suspicion or probable
cause needed. Reasonable suspicion or
probable cause is required to initiate a “legal” traffic stop of a private
vehicle. -
Those fittings will get a crack in them and leak air after a while and a coach will lean, hard to find the leak also!!!!!!!

Tony,
I had a similar issue a couple of years ago and looked into the Portland area Carrier service facilities. There is one out in Troutdale. I made an appointment but the “good AC guy” according to the service manager was not there. I was not comfortable leaving the coach there and left.
In short, I’d go to Marathon only 100 miles down I5.

PS: I have the same oily residue behind the compressor clutch. The guys in Mira Loma said that was normal. My problem turned out to be a leaking king valve which they replaced. Someone had overtightened the valve stem.

We stayed at Flamingo last month on our way back to Nashville. We will never stay there again. Just our opinion. One side of the lake is paved with very tight sites mostly filled with residents and long term folks. The other side (where the vast majority of the short term/transients are located) is all gravel, very dusty, and very tight as well. The gravel side also provides the parking area for the lakes beach which is frequented by local non-campers in season – can you say lotsa more dust??. Everyone was friendly, but some of the office staff not so much. Lots of interstate road noise too. Our coach had a pretty deep dust/dirt camo inside & out adding a “mature” look to the wash & wax I had done the week before we went in. No refunds, so don’t plan to leave early with a refund if you aren’t happy with your site. We were the only Prevost there.
We visited a couple of places while we were in the Jax area, just so we would have a better idea of places next time we come thru. The one that we thought was much better than Flamingo (after Prevost if you need something done) was Pecan Park RV Resort. http://www.pecanparkrvresort.com Stopped in the office & picked up a cg map & did a drive thru. Very friendly and seemed very accomodating. All pads were concrete, most level, paved roads – roads & sites a little narrow, but manageable. Saw one or two Prevosts on the drive thru. Clean & well kept. Most likely our choice next time in Jax.

Kim,
I found a “snap Disc” thermostat imbedded in the ceiling last night, with no adjustment that controlled 2 of the fans. The other fan seems to be wired in with the outside Fridge somehow. I’ll check that out tonight.
Mine doesn’t seem to be adjustable. I ordered a Digital thermostat as Tom suggested on another post.
Does anyone know what I should set the Digital thermostat at Temperature wise for the fans to come on?

my bus has a hanging closet and a closet with the washer/dryer combo. I’ll double check the floor .i did put the old unit back in. Wired it back up and still have no power. Due to the rain, I can’t go into the ECC bay as I have a Joey bed with stuff on it. I plan on removing and replacing the fuses on the boards that may be at fault.
I spoke iwith Chuck at Commonwealth. He said it may be a fuse but does not believe it would be the ground. If the rain does not cooperate, I’ll wait. At this point, I can live with not having a vent or lights in the potty. Pam is on a trip for a week. This makes it just a problem for me. I am heading to Commonwealth next Monday the 21st

The only thing I can think of is something to do with a water softener. But without a picture that’s a complete guess.

this is exactly why I like my iPhone, if I do not recognize the number or it is not defined to a name in my list of numbers I do not answer.
If it is someone whom I MIGHT want to talk to who I do not recognize their number they can leave me a message and I will return the call, or they can text although I am not a fan of texting.
after the first contract which might turn into future contact I can enter them into my list.I only answer about 10% of incoming calls. I like it.

I’d be interested in seeing it, as well, since it’s close to build-date to my coach. Anytime I can spend time looking at a coach close to mine it’s a great education …

???? Struggling with this…why would someone remove the pump without closing the circuit / loop?

The DD pro driver is a valuable tool to have. you can access codes, check mileage, use it as a trip odometer plus other functions I am forgetting. The Prevost message center on newer buses is even more complete and will even help with diagnostics.
Hard to believe anyone disabling one. The message center and pro driver are key on devices.

The car isn’t exactly a 1950 Ford. Fatman chassis with coil overs, 4 wheel disc brakes, A/C, PS, PB, Dakota dash, Tremec 5 speed, alternator, and a 12V system.
I don’t want just a bulb, but the whole light to be filled with LEDs. I’m looking for far more visibility than what I have right now which is pretty lame. It’s on the list of things I have to do to the car.
