Know who has Marathon coach #0678?
Hi All,
I found a few few reciepts and stuff for bus #678. How this stuff was in our bus…. I figure the two crossed paths in a dealer lot at some point.
If you know or run into the current owner I’d be happy to send the stuff to them.

It looks as though it was sold through Imperial Luxury Coach.

Just arrived at Marathon, GP to finally pick up our coach. Thought I’d ask who owns Marathon coach 678. According to their records it is Mark and Linda Prell (sp?). What was interesting was that the coach is red-flagged by Marathon, meaning Marathon will not work on the coach without Marathon HQ approval. Greg didn’t say why.

I looked at that coach in Ohio as a private sale, that owner had purchased it from SW Luxury.
I know I have since seen it for sale with a consignor dealer where I saw it shown as sold.
I do not remember what dealer.
it needed a broken window repair and other things with a quick visual inspection.

Al and I both on seperate occasions had looked at Mark’s coach when it was for sale by owner and was listed here on PC. I can contact Mark if need be.

Good work Per and Margrit. sounds like Coach 678 has been stricken from the Marathon family tree. From our experiemce, this means that coach could have had a salvage title,. Someone could do a car fax on it, if they have the VIN number, might be enlightening.

I’d be interested in seeing it, as well, since it’s close to build-date to my coach. Anytime I can spend time looking at a coach close to mine it’s a great education …

Most often when we see salvage title we think body damage caused by accident.
Another salvage is fire where someone fixed the damage doing a very poor job. Be aware there are very cleaver and talented people who repair body and fire damage and totally fail to do it correctly.
Another thing to question when considering a bus. Ask about the title, do you have it, ask to get a copy to inspect.
Car and truck flood titles are all over the USA. Many states due to pressure from resellers simply use a different color paper that flags salvage or flood title.
