Depending on where you end up in the country, you could also take it to Liberty Coach. I would probably start at the actuator and work my way back to the CAN device that controls it, tracing power. Trying to “sniff” the messages coming out of your remote/switch is going to be time consuming and I imagine would require something like Vector CANalyzer. The problem might not even be related to the CAN communication. I’m not familiar with your system, but perhaps the CAN device that receives the message and sends out power (or signal to a motor driver) will have some indicator lights for the various ouputs that could help you narrow down the issue. There may also be limit switches or an encoder in the actuator that have failed, preventing movement.

That’s just sloppy. You have to use pressure-treated wood.

Jon, after I confirm the issue I do plan to work my way to Jeff’s if possible . He is 82 miles from us on 75 as you know . So the question I have is would a fresh set of battery’s get me there ? Assuming we use only the daylight running lights , dont think I can shut them down and cruise control or not , will we have enough juice to get there ? Thank you for responding .

Put a multimeter on connector with light on to determine voltage. Any 12VDC or 24DC flexible LED light should work. Are your current lights on/off or can they be dimmed.

Here is company we use in aircraft.

Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana … so far so good.

    45′ + 5′ + 26′ = 76′

110 seems to be a little light on the compressor governor setting, should be 120/125.

It’s a Nippon Denso alternator and it does workie! I determined that the generator alternator is good. But, it’s not coming to life and charging the gen battery because the excitation wire is not getting any voltage? The gen battery is good. There are only 2 wires connected to the gen alternator. The bigger one connected to the gen battery, and a smaller one (excitation wire) that plugs into the back of the alt. Where it comes from I haven’t a clue?

I hooked the alternator up to another 12v battery I had sitting around, fired up the gen, and the alternator charges just fine.

I’ve looked in the little black watchdog box for a fuse or something and couldn’t find anything? Under it is the gen control box. I see 2 good fuses in there but nothing else?

I left a message for Bill Darby @ Liberty asking where the excitation wire and protection comes from.

    Suggestions?

We just picked up a 95 marathon with this hydraulic system at the rear. Our mechanic is reporting it’s leaking and is unsure of need or parts availability. Has anyone removed it? Or sourced parts?
