    Pres…

The dates don’t work or us, but if things on our end change, I’ll let you know. We would really like to spend more time in that area, and it sounds like a really good party in the making…

As long as your coach is going to be looking good, perhaps you c an clean mine when I get there.

It’s not supposed to rain for the trip so it won’t be too much work. I’ll help by supervising.

HEY! Watch those hair comments Jon.

I will have you know that I still have a lot of hair!

Unfortunately it has slipped from my head and ended up on my ears, eye brows, shoulders, back and butt.

I’m not so sure valve extension being much of a risk. We’ve used them for 16 years and never had a problem.

Back From Springfield and American Fleet.

Ended up taking about 2 days to do the full tune up. I didn’t stick around for the full time but they got after it and the Engine was slid out and the overhead part happening by lunch on the first day from what I recall.

Since that had it out and coolant drained I had them replace all the hoses as well.

They found some issues with the exhaust bellows it had been installed incorrectly at the factory and was backwards which caused suit to back up and blow out the pipe. So they replaced that as well

Very impressed with the crew at American Fleet. They clearly know what they are doing!

So knock on wood my 10 year PM is officially done…. now I need to get this girl out on the road

More autonomous systems are definitely on the way. The next big effort is vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to environment communication over cellular. Connective Adaptive Cruise Control is probably the next big step, where vehicles “convoy” together and link up. If one vehicle changes speed, it communicates this to the followers and they all slow down together, reducing the “accordian” effect.

I did clean the air cleaner/filter. The manual said to Change out at 300 hours, but I just shook the dust out & it looks fairly clean. I’m at about 290 hrs on this air cleaner, don’t know if I really need a new air cleaner…

Well the new Magnums have been installed by Holland Motorhomes in MI but there still seems to be an issue with the coach sensing reverse polarity when connected to shore power. We had hoped that this reverse polarity issue was inside the inverte rthat let the smoke out but apparently it is not but probably contributed to frying the inverter (although I cannot be sure). Since we were able to measure 120 vac between the ground and neutral in the bedroom service panel I suspect that there is a short to neutral becasue if it was to ground a breaker should have tripped (hopefuly).

Holland is trouble shooting as I type so I was wondreing if anyone has run into this issue with their coach.

I’d be more inclined to believe it’s just a vibration between the pad and rotor. Especially if it’s most prevalent under light braking and disappears under heavier braking.

It’s important to put your genset under a load and get it up to temperature and clean the carbon out , but it’s also important to make sure the air-filter is clean and drawing air from a reasonably clean source in the bus.. Originally our genset had the air-filter mounted inside the generator box which was a hot and dusty source of air.

Unless you have an air leak that would show up in a brake check of the service brakes, my guess is the relay valve for the front brakes is making the noise.

If the brake check is OK, and you hold brake system air for a long time it is doing what it is supposed to do, but it may need to be replaced at your convenience. Someone can listen from near the wheel while you apply the service brakes and zero in on where the noise is coming from. The relay valve is fastened to the underside of the floor about centered over the front axles.
