It would be great if our tracks cross, I would like to see your coach too. Interesting about the movie, would like to hear more about that.

Dick, I do not understand what you are implying about high school and collage.

Yikes, five and a half hours labor for one drive axle seal. Wonder why Denver Stewart/Stevenson only took about two hours on ours. I bring them the part. Guess XLIIs are more complicated, being newer technology and all.

Jon,
Static deflection measurements are over here on page 50 of the STURRA Altoona Test for the X3-45. The max deflection was 0.137″ with an evenly distributed load of 21750 pounds and a GVW of 60340 pounds. The amount of deflection I’m talking about when sighting down the side of these motorhomes is on the order of 0.100″. Very small, but the human eye is good down to 3 thousandths of an inch!

Yes mine are on the driver side in the second bay behind the invertors. They put a door to close them off and use the rest of the bay for storage with a slideout tray in it. The best I can figure is that I will have to take the slideout tray out in order to get at them.
I am also considering only putting four batteries instead of eight in when I replace them because I do very very little dry camping. Does any one have any experience with doing that

They did the right thing it was their screw up the 3rd member would have never been right again. The center in Ft Worth would not replace the seal for me without pulling the complete 3rd member to be sure the lash was correct new crush washer, new seal and new nut all up to specs -
do your tag lift bags inflate when you throw the lever? Look at the supply and control lines on the tag lift norgren __Jon? shared with exhaust of tag(control) of tag air bag? It will be tomorrow before I can check mine out. Bob Hard to tell from pictures–just a observation..

Feel your pain. A year ago or so at Houston Prevost had my bus in for service, Had drivers side window replaced that fogged when humid. $1200 bucks later, fixed. Wow!

Thanks, Will head over to NAPA today and pick up a gallon or two to have with me in the coach (just incase).

Thanks all.
The batteries will be two years old in June. I will check the connections today. I have went through all of the inverter settings and everything seems to be correct. They are set to show an error if battery volts are over 30 and remain there for 30 seconds or so. That seems to be what they are doing.
I turned the shore power on after nearly 5 hours. That was over two hours ago. Side 2 is in float and both sides are reading 28 volts. I could not figure out how to turn off the charger section of the inverter, Gil. My choices in the main menu are Off, Search, On and Charge. It is normally in the ON position.
Davy
Edit: Side 1 just came into float and now they are both at a more normal 24.4-6 volts. (Sorry, my bad typing. That Should read 26.4-6 as Jon pointed out. Thanks for pointing that out Jon)

Mike,
I will send you a private e-mail with my cell number. I have experienced exactly what you have described last year.
It’s not a serious problem and you can dismiss the B-500 being removed from the bus. But, coach must go to Allison for repair.
I’am not trying to hide what this fix is all about to other PC members but will be easier for Mike with contact phone numbers I have..
I want to give Mike info I have on this issue which also scared the hell out of me. The Allison tech along with his team leader including myself spent a lot of time on our bus.
When all the pieces fell together the fix was less then 30 minutes…. 6 hours later.
Mike, open your e-mail through your profile update or send me a e-mail through mine.
