  • Bose 20 Repair

Posted by Archived on January 8, 2014 at 5:10 pm

    For
those with old Bose 20 or 25 systems that have lost their display,
there is an easy fix. For 99.00, you purchase a rebuilt board and
then return your old. The company is Absolute Technolgies and this
will be the 2nd time I have used their service. You can see them on
    e-bay: Absolute

    Anyone
found a direct replacement for the Bose 20 that is plug & play
and uses the same Bose plug that controls all the zones and
    speakers?

    Truk,

Dont recall if that is the name of the place in Colorado that I sent my unit to, but for about 300 bucks they totally rebuilt mine. Fixed the display that wasnt working, fixed the CD changer which wouldnt play or reject and greatly improved its sound and performance. Saved a lot of headache trying to replace it along with new speakers and wiring.

Mr Keller told me about the place as he had good success sending his there a couple years back.

    Tom,

There is a guy on E Bay that sells overhauled units/guaranteed for 1 year for 1600, you send back your old and get a 600 credit…..total cost compared to yours 1 and you dont have to take a chance breaking it whilst taking it apart.
