Tom,
Try running the dragon with 3.5 inches of lift and 33 inch mud tires 😉 Thinking the thunderbird would be much more exciting.
We didnt make it north of Blue Ridge this afternoon, but on the way back home came through Chattahoochee National Forest, and around Rich Mountain and then into Jasper, where we ran across the RV Storage lot.
Trying to get a weekend back up to Marysville with the coach and the motorcycles and do some riding around Foothill, BlueRidge, Cherohala and probably 129… Just need to find time around everything else we have going on. Although we do have an appointment in Knoxville November 20th, so we could make a long weekend out of it.

Jerry,

Al, you reading this?????

Davy I will be at Prevost Mira Loma Sunday night will u be there??

Jim – Great adventures lie ahead for you, it’s great you can do the bus thing for an extended period, we’re jealous.
C & G – Go easy on Jeff, last week aged him and there was 5 of us pressing all his buttons, but he held up pretty good. I didn’t get in on the steak dinner he hosted aboard the lake boat, but everyone said it was first class, at least until they got their bill….

If it doesn’t have to be GM, we tow a 2013 Ford F150 4×4 Supercrew Automatic pick up truck. Just flip the 4 wheel electronic drive switch 5 times (Like Dorthey’s shoes from the Wizard of Oz) and transfer case neutral light comes on sceen and you’re off.

I am sorry to see Kevin is selling his coach. Someone is going to get the best of the best.
I am not surprised to read Kevin’s remarks about Steve. Steve and Rhonda are first class folks running a first class operation and Steve’s site should be on the top of any coach buyer’s list of sites to bookmark.
Good luck Kevin. Please stick around and contribute.

Here it is Al – behind the shiny cabinet underneath the inverters, bay 3. The other side of that compartment houses 2 CruiseAirs, the other 2 are mounted behind the front bumper. The next bay down is my fuel tank, then my holding tanks and Aquahot. One of the nice things about an H3 is you can easily carry a spare 365; just wheel it in and strap it against a bulkhead:

The GardenState Parkway is a good route north to Connecticut ,stay off the GWB and go north to the Tappan Zee Bridge. The Tappan Zee bridge is currently under construction but much better than the George Washington Bridge Route. Stay away from rush hour and friday evenings and you be all right. As you head north on the Garden State Parkway the overpasses in question I think are around the 140’s (exits). Stay in the middle lane and you’ll be just fine. Plenty of H’s travel the GSP and I never remember anyone having a height problem. However, get ready to pay tolls and squeeze thru some narrow toll booths on the Parkway as that is how we keep our taxes low by squeezing every cent out of non residents using our roads. Remember if someone gives you the middle finger as you drive, it is a sign of endearment here in the Garden State. And don’t listen to Jon as no one here in the NY metro area is sorry that he has chosen to boycott our roads.

If you folks think this is going to bump up the dues, just wait until the maps are in place………..

Dan,
A properly installed window isn’t going to come loose. I had one come loose on the first coach, replaced it as described and it never was an issue again.
When I scraped the rear of the frame the window seats against I cleaned it as well as I could and used a whole lot of Sikaflex to the point where it oozed out against the inside of the window all the way around the periphery of the glass. Then I sealed the gap and scraped the excess. We had OTR and we drove in winds that were as strong as you describe and never again had a issue.
I never had an issue on our 97 coach with the same window installation method. I think your coach and my 87 just suffered from a poor initial installation.
BTW, your OTR should have all outside air entry dammed off by a plate on the evaporator side just behind the opening in that door. If that is in place you are unlikely to have excess internal coach pressures. If the baffle is not in place however you can create enough inside the coach pressure ot make closing the door difficult when the OTR is running.

Jerry,
True OTR has provision for recirculate but every conversion I have seen that has Prevost OTR blocks it off. The evaporator in the center of the coach is ducted to recirculate with the fresh air intake permanently sealed. It is easy to check. I don’t know how it is done on an H, but assuming Vantare did block it off they either disabled the outside air baffle control or added a cap or plate over the intake.
I don’t know how converters dealt with outside air on the driver’s air portion of the system, however I do know from experience that there can be leakage of outside air into the coach from somewhere in the front because this was an issue on a previous coach. That was not controllable, it was just an air leak that I eventually blocked.
