Do it yourself Guys Where you at??
Haven’t heard much from the homebuilder/remodler bunch lately?? Maybe like me working on bus since weather has gotten better. I have my new floor in! Almost done on mechanical. Slide awnings almost finished.(couple hrs) of fine adjustment. Ready to start on new siding. It’s here just awaiting this old man ambition. Lots of post by the factory built guys and I know the Home builder guys are learning a great deal from them. So whats going on?? Bob

Visit me and allot of others at Bus conversion bulletin board BCM. I refer to prevostcommunity there all the time and Jon is a member there. So should be no problem with this post. Everyone is welcome there also! More 2-stroke and older coaches but allot of prevost owners there also both home builders and factory conversions. I will continue to visit here on occasion. Bob is right about the other sites for homebuilders. Some good information (and some not so good) information can be had there. A lot of our members also show up there from time to time.
And no problem mentioning other sites here.

Sort of a up date: Been April since anyone posted here. My drive train is complete.Started engine==smooth,no smoke,or codes. Life is good is Busland. We do /I do visit here daily to ck in and see what is going on. I do learn from everyone. Thanks again! Bob

I am still here. Not been able to work on the coach much becasue of having to make a living. One of my duh moments, I built my quiet box for the generator, got it all finished and realized as I was getting ready to mount the genny in it that it was 3 inches to short. Had to tear it out and start over. Been working on and off on it for the past 3 mos an hour ot two here or there. Just about to finish it, then on to finish the water/electric bay. Sent my electric reel in to glenndining and had them rebuild it. Cost me $150 plus $50 shipping but it is brand new now, so that is all I have to install in the water/electric bay. Got the interior window shades hung, ready to start building ceiling panels. Did the bedroom ceiling panels and wasn’t satisfied so tore them all out and starting over this winter when it is cold outside. If I could work 8 hrs per day on it I would be done in 6 mos or so.
Painful to go down to the shop, remember where I was, then think how it was I was going to do something, then start and 30-45 minutes later have to stop and not get back to it for 2-4 weeks. The critical things I make notes and leave them but still painful.
I saw your post on the lower bay door panels. Yes, Steve at IBP has those but local guy did a couple for me using the same SS and was less expensive partially due to shipping but used the same SS as Steve. They really are easy to replace, the real problem is finding the polished SS rivets. I found a stock of them at Bylers in Dallas, bought all he had and so have some spares for the future if I need them. I already ahd to use some of them to replace a lower panel from a rock that jumped out from the side road and hit the panel. The nerve of the rock doing that!!
