I went on Superiors website, downloaded their bevel gearbox manual, and found they recommend a synthetic gear lube like Mobilube SHC 75w-90.

Had fun over labor day drivers side tag axle tire blew while parked at a campground in janesville wi It was 91 degrees that day side wall blew thank God there were no children present drew a large crowd lucky for me i use truck serv out of janesville they came out tues they put a 20 ton bottle jack under frame rail running along side of engine bus went right up allowing easy tire removel had replaced steers so had tire to replace had pass side done friday the dot date was read wrong by me they were old tires 3 digit new dot is 4 digit with 7 yr dot window lucky i was not on road at time of blow out TAG

So to clarify, If there are 365s on the front, with an older chAssis, you still have the same weight rating? If that’s the case why put 365s on the front?

First I would like to thank all of the people who replied to my thread. I am surprised and delighted at the fast response. A mechanic came out to the RV Park and determine it was the starter solenoid. He was able to jump it and get the engine started. I drove back to Hampton NH and the coach is now at National Wrecker Service in Portsmouth. It looks like you can’t buy just the starter solenoid. You must buy the complete starter in order to keep the economy going. I will update again when I get the final bill. Thanks again for your help.

That is more than adequate capacity. If you use the jacks as safety supports don’t extend them hydraulically. I have jacks that I also use sometimes and I leave them in the full down position, but screw out the center post until it makes contact with the chassis. That way I am not risking that the hydraulic portion of the jack will fail.

Once I got the old heat/sound barrier material removed, I noticed a piano hinged door mid way back on the left wall that is common w/the OTR air evaporator. It appeared to have been sealed by Funk & Wagnalls. So I opened it hoping to find a hidden treasure chest or at least a map to one. No such luck. All there is is the backside of the OTR air evaporator. Looking across I could see the another such door leading into the same area from the gen fan compartment.

We did the Cabot Trail about 7 years ago. 5 years ago we did Newfoundland. We’ve also done all of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Last service on the bus was in June in Quebec.

We loved the Cabot Trail. The scenery is outstanding. We stayed in Baddeck, which is a nice little town on the bay. We left the coach parked and drove the trail in the car, which allowed us to pull over and enjoy the trail.

The air operated dump valve that they sell ($175) is the same product that was made by Owens Vavle. Many are probably on our buses including mine.

Dupree purchased the company a few years back. Steve mentioned that the air piston portion rarely fails but the seal/gate product will fail over time. Only costs about $200 on thier website.

He even quick shipped it to me to our remote camping area up here in Minnesota.

I took the panel off. The internal fans for both inverters are running constantly. There is a fan on the left side of the bay in the inverter compartment. It is connected to sheet metal ductwork, drawing fresh air (or maybe heat?) from somewhere. This fan is not running.

I will be at Jeff’s soon, so I guess I will have him check it out.

Mine will go from empty to full, 120 lbs in about 3 or 4 minutes. Mine being only a 3 gallon tank fills quickly. You have some leaks, but at 5 lbs. an hour, that’s not all that bad. If you had a really bad leak that keeps the compressor running long, it would show when you blend the Prevost air and charge the Marathon tank, you would see a quick loss of air.

So I think your problem is compressor related, they do go bad. Unhook the supply line and run the compressor to see how much volume you have. I would think if the check valve was bad and not letting air pass to the supply line, it would make too much pressure and open the relief valve and you would hear that.
