Harry (about the suspension video)….. I think our tag axles give somewhat of a ‘smoothing’ effect like the double axle on the GMC.

When I leave my storage facility in CA, there is a large speed bump. I go slow with the front and as the drive axle goes over the speed bump, the tag softens the motion.

    Safe travels,

    Scott,

First an observation. You do not need to keep a battery charger working on chassis batteries unless you have something wrong drawing current or you have batteries that are end of life.

But to answer your questions the lights you mention will reset as soon as the chassis voltages are OK. Any time they light your first reaction is to determine if you are having a problem. Measure the voltages, usually at the posts on the equalizer just because that is usually the most convenient spot.

The blue balance light is an indication the relationship between the 24 volt side and 12 volt side of the chassis electrical system is not within an acceptable range. The 12 volt value should be exactly 1/2 of the 24 volt value within 1/2 volt. In other words if you read 12.8 volts at the 12 volt post, the 24 volt post should read 25.6 volts.

The hi/lo red light is an indication the voltage is outside an acceptable range. It should be more than 24, but less than 30.

If your coach is equipped with a Vanner electrical system monitor, and your voltage checks show chassis electrical system voltages are within the ranges I specified above the Vanner monitor has failed and needs to be replaced. If the voltages are outside of the ranges specified you have a problem with the charging system or the batteries themselves.

Jon, it looks like the video from your link has been removed from YouTube. I just wanted to show a fell Prevost owner how quickly disaster can strike. As you commented, if we aren’t paying attention and have our belts buckled as this video showed you have very little time to react.

Liberty’s are on the list Dick, looking in the early XL2 non slide range. Kinda hung up on whether I want to mess with the Rose Petal Dispenser. Is yours manual fill or do you have the drone auto fill that Mr Mark has on his ’16?

Just sitting here reading this, and how does the 12R 22.5 Bridestone tires i put on mine a few years back relate to the metric sizes.

    Per and Margrit,

Thanks for coming in, and I’m sorry that we could not start on your coach on Monday as we had planned a few months ago. I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but we are almost done with the addition to our building, which is the cause of the pile up of buses that I know you saw when you pulled up on Monday morning.

As most people know, construction never finishes on time, but when you and I spoke 4 months ago about your arrival, I thought June would be a safe time to get you in and out quickly. Well, it turns out I was wrong. Anyhow, we stayed late on Monday to make sure you bus was started Tuesday morning and it all worked out just fine.

Obviously another Crapco Mirror satisfied customer.

It is sad that as expensive as our coaches are that Prevost cannot get their vendor to add one more step to the plating process to make the lousy finish last, or fix the mirror vibration without us having to wedge foam rubber into the mirror to stop the shaking. Doing that makes the electric adjustment feature useless so they might just as well eliminate the two adjustment switches.

Bill, for those not familiar with the Sun N Fun facility I think the best way to help understand the relative locations of the site options would be a simplified map that has each location shown and identified.

The simple word version of a map would look like this.

Raider Club (50 amp power, but sandy)

    136 steps

Cessna Building .2miles Auction Building .4 miles to Cessna Corn Roast area (30 &50A, grassy)

    39 steps

    Jet way. (Generator power, blacktop)

Marius, mine routinely dumped the tag air about 4 hours after shutting down. I know I had some air leaks in my suspension system which were the cause. Like yours, the dash air gauges would stay at 110 for days, but on startup it would take a while to build air to lift the suspension.

For the electrical issue, when you turn on the inverter in the overhead panel above the passenger windshield, also flip up and release the momentary toggle switch that says “reset”. “On” first and then “Reset”. You should do that every time you turn it on. I think that will solve your problem.
