Hi Dick,
Thanks for lead on American Fleet in Springfield, MO. Everything currently is working great, We’re in North Alabama now. I’m compiling a list for any who wants for facilities that work on our engines. Lots of fellow bus owners with these engines from “bus grease monkeys “ have supplied names of facilities. I look at it “forewarned is forearmed”!

Jim & Chris,
Yes Buddy did show me that. I tested the Progressive today at home and it did work. I think what happened Saturday afternoon at the campground, is that I did not wait long enough for the Progressive timer to count down and pass power. So it was probably operator error.

Thanks Al. I looked at the regulator and it’s holding 50lbs. Jimmy, let me know what they do please? I can always stop at Marathon on my way to Naples soon, but I’d prefer to be able to leave some money to my kids when I die, so I stumble through fixing myself most things I can. My other pain is a runaway salon shade. Only when we’re underway but goes up and down and repeat. Guessing it’s a loose or rubbed thru wire.

When we bought our coach it had Double Coins on the drive axle and tags and Toyo’s on steer and just replaced the Double Coins on the drive axle because they were almost 10 years old and put Toyo’s on. Tags are 2 year old Double Coin tires look and seem good so their staying for a few more years.

Survey froze at sport events unable to continue.
Forced delete to exit,
Went back about 2:30 pm. Found prompt on all vertical dots able to continue. There are several dot screens, each required this.

Same survey received from Prevost Prouds, Marathon Coach

No other drivers of my bus and no use of my bus without me being present. Period.

Tom, unless the circuits are part of a system such as multiplex where the circuit loads are measured to identify excessive loads such as a short, or lighter loads such as a bulb failure you can change lighting as long as you do not exceed the current carrying capacity.
Some coaches have multiplex for the house but I suspect those systems likely do not prevent changes to the type of lighting. The Prevost chassis however is set up with its multiplex system to alert on discrepancies such as those I mentioned above and any change in the actual load on the circuit is reported in the message center. You can modify the lighting on a Prevost with multiplex but that change might require reprogramming of the master multiplex module.

Getting good quality coach service is a serious issue no matter where a person lives. Do not minimize the problem because it is real and is going to get worse.
Some versions of DDEC are not supported. Some Detroit dealers have no mechanics familiar with the 2 stroke engines. Some converters cannot supply parts for older coaches. Some devices in older coaches are not available if they break and replacements might not fit in the available space.
I don’t want to sound pessimistic but keep in mind some of our members have coaches approaching 30 years old and not only mechanics, but replacement parts are getting scarce. The XLII has been around for 18 to 19 years. Owners have to face the reality and make sure they have people they can rely on to service their coach and the conversion.
A second reality is a very good way to get really in trouble is to allow conventional RV service folks to work on our conversions. Those who we trust and will rely on should have extensive Prevost and conversion specific knowledge.

Kirby,
Be aware that the different brands of water heaters list their dimensions differently. Some list just the “box” dimensions, some include the mounting feet in the front to back dimensions, and some include the mounting feet, and any and all connections in the front to back dimensions. For example, Look Here.
Just my opinion.
I cannot recommend Atwood water heaters. I had to repair the threads that hold in the heating element, the thermostat controller retainer, and the mounting bracket feet, (the same 4 bolt holes) as described by John Wade in his posting. On one of the water heaters, the insulation was folded in half on the top portion of the tank. That left half of the tank with no insulation. I repaired the insulation easily but if I hadn’t removed the casing I would never have known that most of the top of the tank had no insulation as delivered. I used them, but only with numerous repairs and modifications.
Having said (written?) that, I used the Atwood 94550.
Good luck

Check the date codes on ALL the tires. If more than five take a deep breath.
Has it been started and run over those five years? Even if it had been, I’d give very serious consideration to new batteries.
This is just for starters.

To get you powered, have you used the Inverter Bypass switswitch (mine is in bay 2 on driver side). It should have “normal” , “shore”, and “generator” positions. It should get AC power tto your bus. If sso, it confirms that problem is inverter to the swirch, i rhink.
