SOME THNGS JUST NEED TO BE POSTED
Posted by Archived on February 9, 2019 at 2:43 pmThere were rumors at one time that I shut down 2 lanes of a 4 lane highway trying to get into an RV park, and even more outrageous rumors that I pulled an H2 Hummer with its brakes locked. I have deniability because I never saw photos as proof. And we all know that I am surrounded by people with smart phones that take pictures of everything including the food they eat. Obviously those rumors about me were wrong.
Tom knows about photos. He has a set (had a set) of tires that were a little worn due to an unlocked steering wheel. But I digress. The photos below are probably going to get me in trouble, but I cannot resist poting them.

Ah, the dreaded short cord syndrome……..
size does matter…
-
I cut 10 feet off just to piss someone off and give Jeff something to do and Andre something to bitch about.
The cord is out of Jeff’s junk pile so it may work and it may not, it probably came off of the last 75 feet of some ones Liberty cord.
Wait,,,,,that is my bus, oh that’s right I just now remembered selling it.

Has the mass exodus from florida started early this year? I haven’t been out on the divided in a couple weeks so not up to date what the migration for this year is doing?
im sticking around down here for a little longer. Still need to put a sweatshirt on in the morning and evening. Not time for me to venture north just yet 🙂
Was mulling over a run to ETLC for some general things, but I look at the forcast and I just can’t do it yet!

We would have been in that Carroll’s group picture if Glen had not have needed to work in Charleston this last week in order to pay our ETLC bill.
Don’t worry. we are just South of St. Augustine and will hit the EXPO after lunch tomorrow (Sunday).
Y’all be sure to stock up on Carroll’s meats.

See pic of Jeff and John above:
John: “Hey, Jeff how come these Marathon cords are so dang short?
Jeff: ” Them Marathon folks aren’t strong enough to pull out a full sized cord like them macho Liberty boys.”
John: “Ya sure about that? Every time Mr. Self comes to your place he gets to park in the No.1 spot right beside the door so his teeny Marathon cord will reach. He says you feel bad for him, Jeff, so you’ll let him park there.
Then he said, “Jeff just thinks my cord is short. But I never pull it all the way out at ETLC. I like my parking spot”.

The yellow extension is a quality built cord, Buddy helped me make one from the same scrap pile pissing Jeff off because he sells the copper. The cords were tested under extreme heat and huge amperage draws and last I heard Buddy was going to market them.
Andre, welcome to the short cord group.
Did Jeff pay for his camp site?
-
Buddy,
I was not complaining about the short cord. I was wondering why the shore power was not working. It appears that there is an issue with the power protection box. But it did give Jon something to make a joke about. By the way the bus ran great today. Will make it home about noon Sunday. Ann will finally get to see it.

Did Buddy warranty that cord?

Just an observation…the cord on Andre’s new Marathon might not need the extension if you guys pulled into the pull-thru slots from the intended traffic direction…just sayin’.

The man doesn’t even get 48 hours of ownership before the pile on.
Hang in there Andre, they are just jealous.
The Progressive stopped working ?
-
Mike,
I was wondering why the 3 people who got there before me parked in the wrong direction. So I followed their lead, didn’t want to be different .

Buddy: Please fix your signature. At least put “Former coach…now owned by someone else”
General question. Since Jon doesn’t admit to having a smart phone of some kind, how does he get such nice pictures? Is he using a Brownie or an Instamatic camera, running to Walgreens or Rite-Aid and getting the full on developed, then having them scan the photos so he can post them on the Forum? Is that how he does that? Asking for a friend … like Dan Hilger.

Buddy,
Not sure, could be the campground connection. With the Progressive and short cord plugged in, could not get power to the coach. Using the cord from the coach to the campground connection, everything worked. No worries, it could all be operator error. I will check it all out when I get home. I will readily admit that the Marathon systems are a bit different then my last 2 coaches, a Royale and Liberty. It will take a bit of time to sort out all the little issues that I may be self inflicting due to lack of knowledge.
No worries, It is all good. Learning a new coach and it’s systems is part of the fun of new coach ownership. I have been studying the Owners Manual, that has helped.
Thanks Buddy for a great coach.

Whoever laid out that campground must have been taught in 1950, I have to use an extension to get to he power. If you’ll didn’t buy some steaks, you screwed up.

I started parking as shown, and the sheeple that followed me did the same thing.
Just so Andre doesn’t feel completely bad about his short thingy, I parked the way I did because the power cord on my Liberty comes out the passenger side and since I did not need water or sewer I was lazy and did not want to drag my very long thingy all the way around to the other side of the coach just to get power.
Now you all know why us Liberty guys have such big ones.
