The air slide has a air regulator along with a manual air adjustable electric gate valve.

Should be located on bulkhead where air slide is. Someone might of raised the air level adjustment on the SMC valve. Electric gate valve might need adjustment.

Marathon usually posts the working pressure on a tag / label near by.

Thanks Al. I looked at the regulator and it’s holding 50lbs. Jimmy, let me know what they do please? I can always stop at Marathon on my way to Naples soon, but I’d prefer to be able to leave some money to my kids when I die, so I stumble through fixing myself most things I can. My other pain is a runaway salon shade. Only when we’re underway but goes up and down and repeat. Guessing it’s a loose or rubbed thru wire.

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Here are my notes and pics. Hopefully you can understand more than I can interpret.

Dan is the air guy at Marathon San Antonio. His first thought was water can get in the air lines. Unhooked the air line and the drawer popped back. Be careful if the drawer is out and you’re unhooking the air line. It will ram you.

The pressure should be between 60 – 80 lbs, depending on how much weight is on the drawer. Pull out, adjust pressure, Push back.

The SMC valve you see in the 2 pictures will leak over time. You can buy them online. There is a surgical version used in hospitals which is more expensive and not necessary. Buy the Non-surgical SMC valve. To install, turn the pressure off and pressure down to 0. Replace wires. Voila.

By the way, my drawer is still creeping…big time. I guess I need a SMC valve because all their other tricks above did not rectify it.

Slide drawer will never stop moving unless the SMC control valve is heat relieving part number.

I can’t read it from your pic.

Another option is a 1/4 inch plastic female both ends gate valve.

My front slide would creep also, as an interim solution I unhooked the one line from the smc valve to the slide cylinder and put on a manual ball valve on the line to hold the slide closed. I was afraid that going around corners the slide would put undue force on the bay door. To open manually, I would just open the valve and then air was free to flow and I could manually slide the tray. After getting a new valve (exact same code) I still had the same issue, I discovered that mine had the wrong smc valve, it was coded SY5420 which had Center normally exhaust, I changed up to SY5320 which is Center Normally closed (same as bay 2), now it locks in place when closed.
