We don’t have statistics, but from various posts over the years a whole lot of problems seem to relate to poor grounds.
Many moons ago I had an inverter acting up and when I disconnected all the ground terminals at the chassis ground on the frame behind the chassis batteries I saw a lot of white corrosion. I cleaned all the terminals and got rid of the corrosion and the inverter issue went away and never returned.
Sometimes we get lucky like I did by starting there to isolate the problem, but like air leaks, we have multiple places for bad grounds and it is very time consuming to chase them all.

We could. Too far out to plan editing the post WE can come!

Hey Joe:
That was us on our way south. I guess I could have made a ‘u’ey. Suppose you’re on your way to Oysterfest which we’re gonna miss. Have fun.

This is the written response from Prevost….
Hello Allan,
We have checked the wiring diagrams and checked all relays R24, 76, 82, EF1 and EF2. A wire test was performed from FJB to RJB and they were Ok. Another wire test was performed from FJB to H solenoid/N solenoid and wire was Ok.
Checked for fault codes and had code 45 open solenoid circuit H. Performed a test from ECU (T connector blue) pin T19/T23 to retarder lock pin A/B and retarder accumulator pin A/B and found the H solenoid out of value specs, normal value should be 3.26 and actual at 02.
Hope that info helps but if Allison wants to give us a call no problem. They can look for Eric or Dennis at our shop.
Have a good evening
I am am unsure what the H solenoid is? Is this solenoid an Allison part?

We just had Ethan with Michelin at our Seminar this weekend and I asked that question, should we run 100 psi on the tag to help with the separation and he said no, lift the tag in tight turns.

Thanks Jeff! The red wire is labeled #85

Harry,
Doesn’t your coach have meters or some means of determining your various electrical systems, from a way of measuring input voltages and loads on shore or generator power to voltages of the DC circuits?
Any time you switch sources, whether it is shore or generator power or even going to battery power it is a good practice to verify power.

I was under the impression the Rolls is only towable behind ten white horses.

MemberSeptember 10, 2018 at 4:23 pm in reply to: Flashing Check Engine & Stop Engine LightThank you, good tip. I’m thinking the over ride switch is activating its self to turn on, because I haven’t touched it. So maybe I’m hoping its just a bad switch. I’m at TradeWinds RV in Deland for them to check it.
Good guys here they will figure it out.

All of this coming from a guy who ate so much lunch on Monday, he fell asleep in my truck on the way home and drooled on my seat. It wasn’t a pretty site. Later the same night about 10:00 I went back to make sure I didn’t leave a bay door open and there he is in his underwear with a water hose between his legs and looked just like cousin Eddy in Christmas Vacation.

Same thing happened to our 2005 XL-II Marathon. It’s the truck shop lap top, plus a poor ground connection with there plug. One of those codes the tech said paid no attention is a transmission code (memory guess), and another your tech wasn’t paying attention.
There is a simple trick to return RPM needle.
