Tom, don’t be influenced by Kirby. As a south Floridian he doesn’t turn on his A/C until the temps reach 95. I’ve seen those folks walking around with hoodies when the temps were 85.

Would having the campground power pole wired with both legs on the same phase do that… again, weird.

You have 3 AC’s ?? I have 3 roof AC’s and 2 legs so 2 AC’s will be on same leg, Do you have AMP meters in side for each leg? If you turn on 3rd AC what shows?

If yours was like mine I had four roof airs so two on each leg at about 12 amps each is 24 amps.

I don’t remember but I think the front salon and the bed/bath on one leg and the Galley and the bedroom on the other.

Turn off your a/c’s and go out and see if the Progressive says you still have a ballance problem between legs with what ever is left on in the coach. Or turn on both burners on the cook top and see if it shows the same imbalance between legs. Should be one burner on each leg at about 10 to 11 amps.

Try another situation by turning both the same a/c’s on and turn on the burner that will make the 4 amp leg on the Progressive jump to a higher reading.

Just trying to confirm that that 4 amp leg is reading correctly.

Inverter #1 is toast, it’s inverting when not suppose to and will show a bulk charge, but isn’t charging. Inverter on Bypass mode for now. Off to Inverter Services on Sunday.

Glad you found the problem, Tom. But you must have been so envious of our cool temps here in Oregon that you put a spell on my bus. Seems I suddenly have a puddle of oil on the ground, smells like differential lube oil. Guess I’ll be taking it to a shop next to Marathon here in Coburg.

Hey Tom have you tried to reboot your inverter? If not before you take it in try to reboot, to do that remove AC and DC power from inverter for a minute then reapply battery power them 110v power and see if that helps

Your inverter might be just fine. At least in my bus this behavior is a feature. I believe it is due to some attempt at load sharing between inverter and shore power.

My scenario: If I turn on a large load such as the block heater while both inverters are in bulk charge mode, one inverter will supply the block heater. This inverter will not switch back to shore and will stay in invert mode as long as the large load persists. I usually detect it when the inverter fan goes in overdrive mode during the night. If I turn on the block heater when the inverters are in float, they remain in float and the block heater runs off shore power.

OK boys, this important….

The problem was the freaking battery temperature sensor. The plug (looks like an RJ11 phone plug) had a little corrosion and causing all the problems. Unhooked the plug all is well.

The guys at Inverter Service said it happens all the time, unplug them and forget it. Jeff told me the same thing.

So do yourself a favor and unplug your sensors.
