The trucks that drive in the middle lane of 3 are lazy and create much ill will toward their company. As Jon said, any lane but the right one is for passing, not driving. Drivers have a responsibility to be good citizens on the highways. Unfortunately, I spend more time driving on the interstate in a car than I do in my Bus and the truckers are just in the way. As for merging, people are just stupid, they can’t merge with any type vehicle next to them; it is just far more dangerous if it is 50K+ pounds right next to them.

Hey Glen, Make sure that “1991 Ford Econoline Van” has three on the tree. You remember the one with the clutch?

I remember the first standard transmission I rented in San Francisco and that stop sign on top of the hill. Before I got my feet in the right places I rolled back 75 yards into the bay!

Cool video Harry. A good friend of ours brother has one, he tells the story of traveling with them, everyone oohs and aahs over the GMC. At the time he had the top of the line Monaco and kept saying “What am I, chopped liver”(-:

Check out Bendix trouble shooting guide to help narrow down your problem. I would suspect the air governor, cheap and relatively easy to replace at about $20.

Although I am not a brake pad expert (YMMV), I would suspect overheating as opposed to defective brake pad material. I’ve pulled similar pads off my race track car.

Were any problems noted with the disc and/or were the caliper pins free? I would expect fairly heavy disc wear.

Working on the broken yoke today, squirted all the fittings I could see just because.

Brake chamber that lifts the tag is leaking. I thought there was not supposed

to be air there unless the tag lift switch was flipped. Does this mean I have

two leaks, one at the fitting on the brake chamber and the tag lift switch?

Most transfer switches are little more than an assembly of electrical contactors and relays. I would not replace an entire unit, but would have no problem suggesting a replacement of contactors and relays and a close inspection of terminals and connections.

Sounds like a good bench project for a rainy day in the garage.

I’ve had the new design mechanism for a few months without a problem. It does appear to be a simpler and stronger design. But ya never l know. So, for insurance I hooked a lanyard, (one of those things you hang around your neck with a clip on the end) hooked it onto the new mechanism which has a hole in it and left a small tab sticking through the top of the door panel. Perfect fit and matches the interior.

    Congratulations Jon and Tom.

You’ve created a great resource for learning, information and fellowship. Quite an accomplishment considering the low “dues”.

    Glad to be a member.

I have a similar spout I got at the local NAPA . It is great for using on gallon jugs of coolant.

    Thanks Art…

but why does a 350 micron spray nozzle need a 10 micron filter??

Also, the Danfloss nozzle has a built-in filter. The one I pulled out had no visible clogging.

    Inquiring minds want to know…

Blue Water Key is the place to stay. It’s on the map. If you can get in. It’s popular and Pricey.

About mile 14 on saddlebunch Key #3. Easy toad ride into key west.

Presuming you’re outside, look closely at the interior (cup?) of the outside handle. Do you see a small hole? If so, then you have a same problem I had. The mechanism is somehow welded to the handle casting there and when the mechanism and the handle casting separated a small hole was left there.

Once you get the inside panel off, open the door, and study the mechanism I think you’ll see what I mean.

When I removed my panel I could only reach the upper screws holding the panel. The bottom ones were at the bottom of the steps and in an extremely awkward place to reach. After removing the upper screws, I carefully pulled the panel away from the door frame, reached in, and eventually figured out how to open the door.
