Looking at Key West FL April or May for next year,any good recommendation’s ??

Blue Water Key is the place to stay. It’s on the map. If you can get in. It’s popular and Pricey.
About mile 14 on saddlebunch Key #3. Easy toad ride into key west.

In addition to Blue Water (expect to pay about $180-$200 per night!), there is Boyd‘s Campground, about 4 miles from Key West. Older campground but manageable with a Prevost. Cost is about $75/night. Then there is John Pennekamp State Park. Small campground with FHU but VERY popular. Relatively cheap, about $55/night. No matter where you want to go in the keys (especially, now after the hurricane), you must make reservations as early as you possibly can. That means, 6 to 12 months ahead of your desired dates! Been there, done that. It took us 18 months to secure a reservation at John Pennekamp!

If you’re in Thousand Trails, they have a park on Big Pine Key.
Sunshine Key RV Resort and MarinaIf I remember correctly it is $20 / night.

$60 to $120 per night site for $20 even if you are a member. These deals are usually very time limited. However, having said that, in April parks start to open-up and by May it may be easier. Still, I would not take a chance. I do believe there are fewer parks now in the keys and therefore, advance reservations are advisable. Do not book at the KOA. They have a sewage treatment plant right on site and it stinks to heaven.

We stayed at Venture Out on Cudjoe Key two years ago. My aunt and uncle were the third couple to move in when it was originally developed in the very early 1970’s. While not built for 45′ coaches, we were able to “get in” (IFS helped) and they over looked that we “hung over” on both ends. As I recall its at about MP 22 or 23. Lots of long-term seasonals and what looks like permanents. A good number of “park models”. Everyone seemed cordial and were quick to move their vehicles as we moved in and out of the park. We found lots to do in the area and it was an easy trip into Key West. We would stay there again. 69 acres and I’m thinking 300 sites.
It should be “on the map”. We would stay there again.

Thousand Trails is $20 a night for members at the two resorts in the Keys, there are additional fees if you have dogs.
I just came back from Mesa, AZ and stayed 14 days and paid nothing for the stay. The $20/night parks are considered “expensive” in the Thousand Trails circuit.
There is also another TT/Encore park up Long Key – Fiesta Key RV Resort. Fiesta Key is busier apparently but is also $20/night for TT/Trails Collection members. Non-members can also book through their website, but I have no idea what the rate is for that since I see the member fees.
Here is a $100 off code if you want to try out a zone pass/trails collection. Note it still is like $560/year, but you have unlimited camping and only pay at some of the parks (normally the resort parks) the others are included in your annual payment. It works out well enough if you like to park hope in FL for sure.

If your eligible to say on military installations, Sigsbee Park is pretty amazing. It is chocked full in the winter, but you can get water front in the summer. $27-32/night and you’re about as close to Key West as you can be in an RV park.
