  • ANOTHER MAJOR MILESTONE

Posted by Archived on May 7, 2019 at 5:19 pm

In December of 2011 when Tom and I went live on line with Prevost Community we felt if we had 500 members we would consider PC a success. We certainly underestimated the potential.

Today we registered our 4000th member. WOW! When we were at Oysterfest we discussed it was likely we would be at 4000 by July which is a pretty good example of how we still underestimate the potential of PC. Thanks to all of you for making this happen. We know it is word of mouth from you, our members, that is why we have had such fantastic growth.

Today we possess the potential for Prevost Community to do more for its members. We are well aware of the strength of numbers and at every opportunity to get benefits for our members we use our membership numbers as a bargaining tool. As owners Tom and I still seek ways we can get better benefits and while we are not always successful you can be assured we will not let up.

In fact right now Tom is working on a program for another discount program. He will announce it when the time comes, but when everything is in place it will expand on the discount programs now offered. We aren’t always successful (I am falling on my face when it comes to seeing if we can address the insurance problem) but we keep trying. All of you can help by either providing us with ideas or participating in existing programs so we can prove to others we can deliver the activity some of these programs require.

Our numbers go far beyond just membership numbers. Our site has ACTIVE members. We have a very large number of unique visitors daily. Our advertisers benefit highly from that activity. And make no mistake, your dues are free because of our loyal advertisers so be sure that every time you speak to an advertiser you mention Prevost Community.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of all our features, not only the discount programs, but articles, the maps, and coach for sale listings. As long as there continues to be interest we will continue to do seminars.

And all of this is because every day our members prove to us how valuable PC is to us all.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Another great “Build it and they will come” story.

I started “lurking” for 2 or 3 years, and came to realise I too could be

    a Prevost Owner.

    Thank you ,administrators and members

Jon and Tom I’m proud of you guys because I well know what it takes to sponsor a forum. And 4000 members, that’s really something and I’m delighted to be a part of it.

I joined PC to gain the knowledge of a membership when I decided to purchase my old girl. A community that cares for each and every member is one that grows and prospers. PC is that forum.

i have had PC members call me on a regular basis just to check in on me and my old girl. They care. They really care.

We are a small, select group but with large hearts. Our collective knowledge is and concern for our fellow Prevost owners is what sets us apart.

Great job to our founders on bringing PC to life and making sure none of us get too big for our britches.

Not that it’s important, just curious. How many of those users would you consider to be active users?

    Congratulations Jon and Tom.

You’ve created a great resource for learning, information and fellowship. Quite an accomplishment considering the low “dues”.

    Glad to be a member.

    Tom, Nancy, Jon and Di,

We know it takes you all. Thanks for all your help and generosity of time and knowledge. Beside the dues and discounts, the amount of money the members have saved by the incredible sharing of knowledge on this site by members has to be huge. Throw in the value of friendships gained and PC’s success is truly a value to us all.

    Thanks again to you all,

    George & Becky

The question about how active our members are is an easy one to answer. We get an average of 1000 members a day checking in on the site. As a percentage of our group that is a significant amount of activity, especially considering everyone has to log in.

    Thanks for your comments.

Jon, Does the 4000th member get a prize? Bumper sticker, badge….anything?

Thanks for all the kind words and the 4000th member will get free dues for life.

I’m just having a harder time figuring out where to spend the dues money without Jon getting any. Poor guy can’t even afford groceries and has to cancel all travel from Memorial to Labor Day because of his garden and daily rodent control, but it cost more to live in Florida and I have to go to Publix.

I looked at the stats for April and the average number of daily visitors was 1,710.

The members have made all this happen and it’s most appreciated. If you contact our Advertisers, please tell them your a PC member.
