Ceramic Wax
Anyone tried the new ceramic wax products?
I just used Meguiar’s on the area above the windshield and is sure seems impressive. I first did a good cleaning and used clay to prep the area. The initial coating says to spray on and wipe dry with a micro fiber cloth. Future applications only require spraying on and hitting it with a strong stream of water….
A neighbor of mine swears by F11 and makes up tall tells about bugs just sliding off the front of his RV, well maybe he has to wash them off, but apparently they come off easily.
After my next trip I should know better on how the ceramic wax performs. One thing for certain, it sure goes on easily and yields a great shine immediately.

I use Rejex on my coach and it really helps with bug and other contaminant removal. The bug jerky doesn’t necessarily ‘slide’ off, but it will ‘flake’ on occasion! €:)

Make sure you have marked your 2025 calendar. I have marked mine and expect you need to arrive early because it is a big job waxing an entire bus..

Hi Les, Meguiar’s Also has a waterless wash/wax product. Have you ever used it? My bus is only a 40 footer and you may want to wax mine before getting to Jon’s. You can park your bus next to mine and we will do them both… I’m not greedy!

Harry, I’ve used Griots waterless wash/wax. It comes in handy for touch-ups or when I need to clean up the coach and not allowed to wash it.
With any waterless stuff, I try to keep turning the cloth, keeping a clean part picking up the dirt. I don’t want to scratch the finish.
Waterless is somewhat of a last resort and I’ve used it when necessary.
It does a nice job cleaning the wheels and leaving a thin protective coating.

The waterless wash/wax that is used on the 18 planes of the Air Force One Squadron is Wash Wax All. The Aero Cosmetics line has everything needed to clean and protect a plane, RV, car or boat inside and out, tires included.
The owner has a 2006 Parliament XL that is sparkling all over inside and out using the Aero Cosmetics products. This includes Polish All to remove water spots from the stainless and keep it shiny shiny.

Good deal Les. I have used Lucas wash/ wax for yrs on all vehicle . Tried them all except for new ceramic stuff. I hate mequire
s and armor all is the worst. Will look at other companies with ceramic. Some don’t realize washing removes all wax and scratces clearcoat like buffing removing removes clearcoat as well. If real dirty I spray dawn on and rinse without rubbing to reduce scratching then apply Lucas wash/ wax. I also use aerowash extend mop. Best on market. Crank up radio and wash / wax.
Ps. I do my bus after every rain since it sits outdoors. Takes @ an hour for me.

Regardless of what protective product you use, Get a bucket of HOT water from your sink or wet bay faucet. Dip your extension pole with what ever end you prefer (micro fiber, bug sponge, etc) in the HOT water, apply from one side to the other on the bug filled front of your coach. Now go back to the side you started on and repeat. After a few times of doing this the HOT water will have softened the bugs/bug guts and they will come off quite easily with out using soaps or chemicals that would affect your waxes or protective coatings HOT WATER is the softening trick.
Don’t try this on a cold day with a cold surface, your results may not be good. I.E. cracking the glass due to temp changing from the HOT water
