I’m sure the air is cleaner in many communities because of the increased air abatement equipment on internal combustion engines. When electric cars and trucks catch on, things will really get better!

Too bad we didn’t move to compressed natural gas (CNG) a long time ago for medium and heavy trucks. Air would have been cleaner, sooner.

What I struggle with intuitively is the apparent fact that some “cleaner” engines have inferior fuel mileage numbers. That just doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe sometime I’ll learn why.

Had Prevost Houston repair my drivers side sliding window ($1200) because of fogging about 2 years ago and noticed this past weekend a little fog again. Rats.

Mr. Mark: We’ve seen the woods that Liberty uses on the current model coaches and its beautiful.

Geo wrote: “Dick, it installs just like Formica and then comes the highly labor intensive
part…instead of routing the edges like formica you polish them by using ever
decreasing grit sand paper til they are like glass. Geo.”

When I was in the coach a few hours ago, I looked at the Vitricor closely and notices the edges are rounded, not to a point or bevel like Formica. The progressive sanding must do that.

Are you between sessions? Weather good at Daytona? We’re head to the South Eastern Wisconsin Short Track Hall of Fame induction banquet tonight. Bill Prietzel, Johnny Ziegler, Lowell Bennett, Dave Watson, Rick Bickle and a few others are being inducted..

The deadbeat is on RV.NET. I want to sign up just to dog him.

Go over there and read some boys, you’ll get an idea of what some of these plastic folks think of us Prevost pricks.

I’ve always patted another man on the back and said good job or I’m happy for you, I don’t understand the envy and resentment some hold against us.

The chassis is a Prevost., The convertor completes the unit. Convertors are known as 3rd stage convertors or manufactuers. State laws vary from state it state, most require the convertor to be registered and licensed as a manufacturer with DMV. Since the Prevost chassis is one component in their product they can issue MSO or CO (Manfacturer Statement of Orgin or Certificate of Orgin)for their completed product. In the case of some small convertors the customer buys the shell and uses that MSO for titling, since the convertor may not be a licensed manufacturer. Now, in addition to this, a few states do not have a provision for 3rd stage convertors.

I thought that these belly lights were 120V. I remember Jon posted some pic of his underside and they looked like the rope lights you could get a home depot.

Our generator water temps is usually about 170, but I haven’t had really, really high outside air temps yet (like over 100). At 170 I was concerned the termostat was wide open, but was told this is fine.

Have you given any consideration to attending the upcoming PC boot camp ?

Where and when? Are you refering to the seminar being held at East Tennessee Luxury Coach in October?

There is a new Cabela’s at the intersection of Lombardi Avenue and US41 (now apparently I-41). I don’t know if they permit overnight parking, but I would recommend checking with them.

If you are towing a car and don’t mind a short drive, you could try the camp ground at:

    Village Inn on the Lake
    3310 Memorial Drive

    Two Rivers, WI 54241

    920-794-8818

It sits between Manitowoc and Two Rivers right across the street from Lake Michigan. The RV park adjacent to the motel is small. The sites are small, but we had llittle trouble getting our 45 footer in and out. They have small decorative posts that pull out of the ground that helped getting in and out. I’ve posted a review to the PC map.

Another option is Door County Wisconsin. Potawatomi State part just south of Sturgeon Bay (haven’t been there in 50 years) or the #1 state park in Wisconsin Penninsula State Park at Fish Creek further up the penninsula. Check with the offices for either park about big rigs. My sister just retired after 37 years of service at Penninsula Park and she said they had sites for big rigs, but we haven’t been there yet. Door County is one of the top tourist destinations in the Midwest. Lots to see, lots to do.

Where are you coming from? If you’re coming from the east or south, consider taking the SS Badger across Lake Michigan from Ludington (MI) to Manitowoc (WI). Last coal fired, steam powered freighter on the Great Lakes. We haven’t taken it yet, but advertises it will hold large vehicles. It was originally built to carry train cars across the lake, so I’m sure its pretty well built.

Enjoy your time in Wisconsin. Please spend lots of money!
