    David,

thanks for the input. I too have a airport close, and have been meaning to go by to see if there was any space someone wanted to lease out.

For the the time being I have my bus feed with two seperate 15a circuits on a 50a split to two feeds. This allowed me to up the inverters to 15a each. – although I’m keeping a close eye on them…I don’t have a option other than 5a or 15a on the heart inverters, – so for considering options.

Living in “Tornado Alley” people learn to deal with weather. Prediction of the weather, particularly in frequent target areas is really very good. We often know several days in advance of a severe outbreak. At least a day prior we know the risk area in detail. If you have the option , just stay out of the target. It is so tragic to see folks drive into a severe storm because they don’t understand or realize the danger.

Download a weather radar app on your phone and study it so you can be prepared. It will tell about hail, wind, lightening and tornados . It is dynamic so you can see which direction the storm is moving. In general terms tornados move from SW to NE . You can see your current location and make plans accordingly. When you check in to an RV park and you know there is weather risk, ask about shelters. I was in Twin Fountains in OKC last night and I noticed they have a tornado shelter. If they dont have one they can direct you to one. Like knowing the closest exit in a plane you need to prepare.

Another step might be a mobile scanner. Radio operators (hams) will be storm watchers and you can listen in on the 2 meter band which is 144- 148 Mhz. Scanners are probably as useful as a CB for general traffic information You can also download scanner feeds for nearly any location so you are listening to emergency radio traffic on your phone or I Pad.

Personally, I don’t take a bus out of the barn from April to July in tornado alley unless I know the severe possibility forecast. In the south , as this past weekend , winter thunderstorms are possible. Thankfully, tornadic storms are rare . A little study and weather awarenes while mobile can really be be a good investment.

When caught in a a big wind, if possible point front or rear into the wind and pull in slides.

When Charlie was supposed to make land fall in Tampa,
everyone clogged I-4 headed to Orlando.
I-4 and I-75 became parking lots with everyone exposed.I went on a side road from Port Richey on the
Gulf Coast over to I-75 to a Pilot truck stop and pulled in between two semi truck
trailers and, like Peter said, made a margarita.
About 6 hours later, after Charlie made
landfall South of Tampa and the eye went right through Orlando, I took that
same side road about 35 miles back to Port Richey.
The only reason I left Port Richey was to get
away from some tall old growth pine trees that had dead limbs about 60 feet
    up.
When I got back there was a large
limb laying right where I had been parked. The storm last night had strong winds, but was short lived, only about 15 minutes, then about an hour later another 10-15 minutes. Georgia had it a lot worse.
I might retract the slides just to save the slide covers from being torn away by the high winds.

Very nice section of colors and woods. I like the blue LEDs. Subtle ad for Menards.

Is the wood original? or did you change something out?

How old are your airbags? When I replaced mine a few years ago they were all dated 1999 and I was really glad to get them replaced. I don’t think any were leaking but they were starting to show their age. I looked at a 2001 XLII last summer and it’s airbags were likely original as they looked very similar to the ones I pulled off mine. If you have already changed them out then check this off your list.

What is “the overhead run on 12.7 liter Series 60”?

    I’ve never heard of that.

Thanks for the info. I will check with Prevost to make sure. I would prefer the low beams to stay on. I will see if there is a way to do it that does not require lots of wiring modifications.

I just wanted to check in. Last Friday we had our Team
Christmas party back here in Carlisle and it was a great time. I decided to stay a few extra days and now I
am nailing down some of the logistics for the February event. The weather here
has been crazy warm. We even set a few records over the last few days. I got in
some hiking and biking in shorts!!!!

To back up a week and a half Tim and I got invited to attend
a beer fest in Punta Gorda, FL. Jason from Fat Point Brewery that everyone met
at the November event extended the invite. What a fantastic experience. As you
can see in the picture we had a front row seat. We were treated like kings from
the moment that we arrived. The brewery is fantastic and they even have a great
kitchen with some very unique offerings. If anyone is traveling through the
area it is definitely worth the stop. For those of you that didn’t have the
opportunity to try the product in November they will be back for the February
    event.

We even discussed maybe having a mini tour down to the
brewery after our event. If anyone will be heading south from Lakeland or would
possibly like to spend a day or night in Punta Gorda let us know and Tim and I
    will set it up.

The event is really shaping up. From the response that we
are getting I believe that we will have a lot of for sale coaches. Everyone
that we have reached out to are making verbal commitments to bring several
coaches. The exciting part is we have been receiving calls from others that are
excited about attending as well. We will give you more details as we get things
    confirmed.

Ok back to work so I can head to sunny FL on Thursday.
