Bet you did not have any front axle brakes. Nice old truck. Lots of guys are restoring tractors like this. That 370 was a big horse back then.

I changed out the automatic Zip Dee on my previous 2003 Liberty XL II to a manual one. Was caught too many times at campgrounds when awning would not retract. Liberty had never substituted a manual for an automatic. Had to relocate brackets into stainless and repaint two areas. Was not a cheap fit but slept better at night knowing I would not be caught. The last time, had to jump the motor in awning barrel from car battery with two wires and roach clips while standing on a tall ladder. As I said in previous post, when I opened up the awning controller, looked like a bad attempt to build a bomb with all the bird nest of wires, etc.

A cover will allow the fan to operate in the rain. My fantastic fans would close if it started raining.

Harry Beaver owner here. What’s with the water hose, you need to take that apart and see if the springs still work, ie pull the hose back on to the drum. Reinsert it into the hole with the roller wheels. That should give you some room. My electrical connects is just like the one with the screw cap, but it is on the outside of the coach. Between that bay door and the rear wheel fender. attached to the lower stainless panel. Mine is plumbed the following from the location the wires in that box there is a metal conduct going thru the right side of it to the wheel well then 90 degs to the stainless panel of the bus. That capped 50 amp connector is then screwed to the panel. Been that way for 26 years with Zero problems.
my only issue is the water hose in order to get it thru the hole in the floor you have to pull out all the hose you are going to use and then run it thru the hole. Even at that it only a 2 minute job.

Yellow in the compartment is a definite sign of tube/burner failure. Serious fires are not uncommon.
I recommend that you do not use the fridge and turn off all propane and electricity to the unit.

I agree with you again Jon, checking that nuts, bolts and screws are tight is just smart. And even a Pilgrim can tell a cracked and damaged hose. I’m starting on the outside and working my way in. A person with any smarts should have a working knowledge what’s in each bay and to keep them clean and ship shape.
Hi Glens, It’s a negatory on the auto switch to gen set. Whatever I’m using needs to be manually switched. I’ll try your idea of putting paper down on the plastic I’m using. If it does nothing for the leak it will be appreciated by the dogs in the area.

Sounds like you need to decide between an Amish cooling unit to replace your failing unit or, much better choice in my humble opinion, a new residential refrigerator.

Take this with a grain of salt because a 40 foot coach has different rear overhang which impacts axle weights compared to a 45 foot. The reason I say that is I had 12.00 tires on the 40 and 315 on the 45.
Going by memory my 40 foot had 110 in the steer, 85 drive, 70 tag.
My 45 with 315, although 5000 pounds heavier had 105 steer, 90 drive 85 tag.
Those are going by memory and I have a severe case of CRS.

Great job. Not everyone has the forethought to take pictures in the beginning and then during the process to chronicle the improvement.
The Gadget Guru should visit Rocky and do a video on the proper procedures (including equipment, pads, brushes, salves, creams, and oils) to polish stainless with. I think we’d all enjoy that video.
