Thanks Gil, I appreciate it. Probably time for an upgrade and I’m with you on wanting a single output 24V charger. What model Iota are you using? What I want is to have my Trace inverter/chargers charge the chassis bank, but I understand the well defined interface converter’s like to preserve between chassis and house.

Are dealer sales really different than a private sale?

If I say I am selling a coach in which everything is working, and an inspection prior to money changing hands finds everything is not working I as the seller am expected to correct the problem, adjust the price or return a deposit.

After money changes hands it means as a buyer I am accepting the coach.

If I buy from a dealer and the dealer promises to inspect the coach and make sure everything works then I have the same expectations. The dealer either fixes it, adjusts the price or gives me back my deposit.

Once I hand over my money I really have no further expectations, but if something shows up on the return trip home I will let the dealer know and see if he will stand behind the cost. In most cases dealers as an expression of good will eat the cost of a needed repair. I think it will get a little contentious if on the return home the engine blows up unless there was a warranty or guarantee.

The gray area however is what are my expectations during an inspection? Does an oil stain on a 10 year old coach around the oil pan make me expect a repair, regardless of how minor it is? What about cracked dust boots on the steering linkage? If the coach is 10 years old am I to expect the dealer to replace all air bags and shocks even if they were never specifically mentioned during negotiations? What about replacing batteries and or tires even if they are 3 or 4 years old and were not part of the negotiations.

I think it is the gray area such as those I described above that sellers and buyers have to address.

At least we are now all on the same page understanding there is something very wrong. There is no intake air restriction and no exhaust restriction from the turbo downstream and the turbo is working properly. Here’s the sequence. The problem did not exist….. the coach was parked for 30 days…….. the problem was immediately apparent upon departure…….. nothing changed with intake or exhaust. Where does that leave us?

I need to echo Davy’s praise of Jeff, his facility and his work.

I had Jeff replace a water pump on my generator, do a full service on the generator, replace all she shocks, and a couple other small things. He was great to work with, very accommodating and a very fair price. will have the coach back up in May to get a couple other small items worked on that he noticed while going through it.

was also good to meet Davy on his way out this morning and Rod and Nancy last night.

I was not believing the tire shortage story so I called my tire guy who is one of the biggest truck and rv tire companys in the desert. He said it is for real. Every year this happens but it is usually not a concern. With the new discount programs they ran short and the impact is being felt everywhere. They do it every year to keep date codes fresh. They will have all you want soon, I imagine the big guys will get them first.

This is confusing to me regarding what is being discussed.

I’m guessing it is what I have always called a “shimmy dampener” which is like a shock absorber intended to minimize or eliminate steer axle shimmy. I say this because I cannot imagine capping the lines on the power steering cylinder.
