Thanks Don, I live in SW Florida, so i think Prevost has a facility near Orlando, so 3 or so hours away.

Does anyone know a mobile RV tech that can survey a coach for me near Dayton Ohio? I think that would be the best way to get a real health assessment of the Coach I am considering.

Liberty is in Stuart Florida, also 1/2 days drive, so not close but not terribly far.

Condition is everything for me so i am trying to find that coach that got fanatical care, so that my ownership experience, one our first coach is as positive as possible, not perfect, but as good as can be by me making smart decision, rather than an emotional one.

Don, great advice on the lights, I have already e mailed him for info, many thanks, and advice welcomed!

2 steps forward 1 step backwards.

    1. My bedroom cruiseair couldnt keep up when the temp got hotter. I am pending HVAC guy coming saturday to work on the 2 units.

    2. oil change is complete

    3. I drained the dif, but pending one axle stud to install the axle and put the fluid back in the diff.

    4. Went to remove the coolant filter, it wouldnt budge and the filter folded in half. Now I need to figure out how to get the filter off. As a positive it drained all the coolant which was on the agenda.

One unique feature of a Liberty coach is that is contains only one holding tank which holds both black and grey water (with a grey water bypass option to drain grey to the ground). That setup might not work for everyone unless you always travel from pole to pole with full hookups. The tanks also corrode with time and will need replacement, likely soon in the era coach you are considering unless it has already been done.

If you are unfortunate enough to require a tow, call John Hawkins (cell 423 413-1888) and ask him who to call in your area. John is VP and GM of Miller’s Large Wrecker Division and knows the people qualified to tow a Prevost as he is also an owner of a H3-45

Thank you Jon & Buddy for jumping in to take care of the bus. It was an incredibly generous thing to do. ( I’m glad you both made it back to Tennessee because when you left here, I was not sure who would get left on the side of the road.)

An Update: Phil is doing much better. He had the second of 3 planned surgeries yesterday and everything went well . Next Tuesday his right ankle will get fixed. Long rehab to follow.

The best news of the day is that Sophie came home today! She is moving all limbs and hopefully in time will improve and learn to walk again.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. When life gets awful, “you find out who your friends are”. This is a helluva group!!

If you’re around Springfield, MO and need service or repair on your Series 60, take your coach to American Fleet INC, 2441 E. Jean St, 65803. These guys know S-60 and V92 engines. Gary diagnosed and replaced my barometric pressure sensor and wiring harness in less than an hour. Their prices are more than reasonable too.

Look around at marine service. Many operate out of mobile trucks / vans. We used them a lot over the years as they come directly to you. Many times the work is measured then done with equipment inside the truck / van at your location.

If I am reading this correctly the pump runs fine until you shut the faucet off, come back later and no water without turning the pump off and then back on….If this is correct, the pump could be going into a fault mode. If there is a small leak the pump senses a small demand and will go into a error mode. On the pump itself it will have a red error light on. So by turning off and back on you have reset the pump and therefore it functions. Also you could have a pump that is failing which could be the board on it…

Our seat works as Jon described. The up and down adjustment is very fiddly but once set works great.

Our dog, abby, would agree. Until we were at Jeff’s last week she was not allowed in the driver seat. However, Jeff had her hop up on his lap, front paws on the steering wheel, as he drove the coach into the shop. So, Jeff is in the dog house now but he got a laugh out out the ride. Abby is now taking driving lessons ’cause Jeff said she could. Dang me.
