Assuming it is a Series 60 it is not uncommon to have injector issues. I would strongly suggest if it is, replace them all. Likely the most difficult part is tearing the bedroom apart to get the valve cover off if it is an XL. H3, no problem.

Add info about the bus in your signature line.

Don, every coach or conversion is different. On my first coach removal of the engine cover was as simple as raising the bed, and there it was.

With rear closets and cabinetry built on top of the cover after carpeting was in place can make engine cover access a day long job that involves in some cases cutting the carpet.

A side to side bed with a rear closet is the recipe for potential issues to gain access.

If it is independent front suspension, a 2 position norgren is plumbed on every IFS front end they’ve ever put out. It’s the top one in the steering Bay on the back wall. The top 90 degree fitting is the blue line with the yellow tape on it that actually goes to the front suspension. It sits just above another to position norgren below it. Continuing up the path of air the blue line that comes off of that top norgren in the steering Bay it feeds two more 2-position norgren either side of the ride height valve above the axle. Those three norgren’s and the two airbags and the two air tanks those are all and only components that can leak causing a front end to go down with the key off.

Hey Doc, sure missed ya this time. We had perfect weather at Hot Springs and a great time. 8 coaches were able to make it to the party, hopefully some one can post some pics, I’m afraid I forgot to take some……

Yes this coach has both 12v in the windows and 120v everywhere else.

Having also gone through this recently, I ultimately landed on private bath, roof tops, S60, no aluminum tanks, no crazy air operated stuff and simple systems.

As for IFS vs SFA, I was not specifically looking for IFS but after driving 3 different SFA examples – none were providing me with the Prevost ride that I had heard so much about when transitioning from S60 powered 43′ Wanderlodge. Yes, they rode better, but not OMG better. Then I drove an IFS – DONE. Then I had lots of work done on the suspension – Holy Crap does this thing drive good. To that point, at my bus barn when I turn the bus around to move the rear or front over the pit, I have a utility light pole perfectly positioned to make what should be an easy ‘Y’ turn more of a precision driving test. In the SFA 43′ Wanderlodge that has a wheel base 5′ shorter than a 45′ Prevost RV chassis, I had to hit turning points perfectly to get the nose around w/o hitting the light pole. My success rate was maybe 75% and it was always close. Now, with the IFS Prevost, it almost doesn’t even matter when I turn, just crank it over and the darn thing looks like it’s pivoting around the drives – amazing. Yes, you still got to get the back around, but so far the ease and quick turning capabilities of the IFS have been one of the biggest surprises and challenges for me in the transition. Man will this thing turn!

Again, this is just my experience.

I have 2 Victron Quattro 5kw inverters 48v setup in split phase so each leg gets 5000w. 2 sok 48v rack batteries 100ah each 10kw total. 1800w on the roof covering half my roof at a slight angle from the Girard awnings to above the AC units. I’m redoing solar soon to cover it all and will have 4000w+

Victron inverters are the best and are unique. The Quattros each have 2 inputs and 2 outputs and 100amps each so they work as an auto transfer switch from gen to shore to invert all without losing power and they log it all so I know usage.

Victron also has input controls and powerassist so I can have 15a 120v extension cord coming in but still output 240v and let me use the 1800w shore 15a plus 10kw inverter. Same with being on 50a 240v shore instead of 12kw I have 22kw. Whatever isn’t being used just recharges the batteries.

Victron has a cerbogx which is the brains of everything and connects all together so on my phone from anywhere. Can automate and do all kinds of things like auto start generator when batteries are low.

I then have a 3rd inverter same Quattro 5kw but 12v and a pair of 12v rack batteries 400ah each 10kw. This is just for a backup incase main system doesn’t work and it powers some important loads and pulls power from 48g inverter a side.

Then have DC DC converters which take the 24v 50dn alternator power I connected to my chassis batteries and when engine is running it puts 1500w into each battery bank.

So when driving I can run 2 AC units and it uses the engine alternator so I don’t lose any battery charge. A 3rd on a sunny day from the solar.

I just reprogrammed my system so it charges the batteries to 70-80% so when it’s at home it’ll use the solar mainly and keep everything on the use the shore power if batteries get below 70%. Otherwise the solar was just off since batteries are charged.

I love it and everything works flawlessly. RV is on 24/7 and everything always works. When I switch from shore to inverter I just unplug and it doesn’t turn anything off.

That’s it? Simply “do not change”?

I am interested in your set up. Is that 2 inverters? What are those specs? How many batteries: amps, volts etc.? How many solar panels and what wattage?

    thanks for your patience

    Hey Bill,

I was just looking through some threads in POG and one thing I saw in a few threads was the auto start was engaged. Look like if its engaged the genset will shut down after a few seconds. I have a Marathon with the dash switches but on the genset I have a 3 position toggle switch up for warm up and down to start.

It would try to start but then blew the 12 volt breaker, got that fixed now it will try to start but will never really catch. Acts like it’s a control issue. The iPad keeps giving gen error

Captain … why do you need two separate engines running at the same time?

Have not been on 269 but would take any route that kept me that far away from Memphis! The roads are so bad and the traffic terrible all day long. We just came through Memphis the other day on 40 and I am pretty sure that why we are now sitting in service at Dallas Prevost.
