  • Not going to limp home this time

Posted by Duane on July 14, 2024 at 1:55 pm

I took my son and grandson to Disney World in the last 10 days I started feeling a miss when the coach downshifted to pull a hill then check engine light the code was injector #1. I thought I might have gotten some bad fuel so I changed the filters it ran good sometimes and missed others. I was about 300 miles from getting home and the turbo boost stopped working then would come back then stop again until finally can not get any boost it was throwing the 147 code no vanes. I got to an RV park in Montgomery there is a WW Williams here I have never used them has anyone else? I have it set up to tow it to Prevost Nashville but it is so expensive I was considering trying Williams. I now believe I need a new injector I have replaced one before and probably have a bad boost sensor or something else. I have replaced the vpod before but not acting like that really. So has anyone got any advice for me I would appreciate it.

I’ve used Williams a couple times in PHX when my old bus had shifting issues in the trans.

They know what there doing, I wouldn’t tow it.

Assuming it is a Series 60 it is not uncommon to have injector issues. I would strongly suggest if it is, replace them all. Likely the most difficult part is tearing the bedroom apart to get the valve cover off if it is an XL. H3, no problem.

Add info about the bus in your signature line.

It’s a 2006 H3-45 featherlite series 60 14L this is the second injector in a year. I am going to let them replace the rest this time it’s not a bad job on my bus I don’t have engine brakes just transmission retarter. I fixed the turbo boost issue this morning another vpod but I had a spare with me it’s not that bad a job just in a bad location. So have an appointment at WW Williams Wednesday morning for the mis/injector issue but at least I can drive it there no towing. Thanks again

Zero issues with Williams. They are knowledgeable and know what they are doing.
